I really want this guy back in a Rockets jersey!!! He understands the system here(having won 2 championships here)and could teach some of the new guys..and he sure would love to play alongside Francis....plus..his wife and son live here!!!!! He could also maybe help us beat the Lakers since he knows a lot of what they do and winnnind 1 championship there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I'd consider trading you, MoTaylor.

I wouldn't mind having Horry back but he in no way would shore up our 4 spot. Remember he played 3 all his career up to the finals against Orlando (remember we traded Otis). But he can hit the three, plays well under pressure is a good defender and can rebound some (a lot better than what we are getting now). He would be nice to have but would still leave us defficiant at the 4 and probably would not improve us at the 3. Phil Jackson might consider Walt or more and maybe even draft picks but I doubt he would want Mo since he beleives in Defense.

Sure wished Rudy believed in it.

some match up the salary info and let's see what we can do with maybe even los since we know he's gone i'd give the lakers mo taylor and walt all three for just one player in horry...... he'd actually improve the 3 spot in that he doesn't provide veteran leadership but brings an example of toughness and how to play organized ball... put him with hakeem and hakeem will have a friend back from the golden days and i'm sure if we had to slow down a game a bit to match up against an opponent horry would be the man with hakeem...... bring him back

I do NOT think Horry is the answer. IMHO, he's past his prime and a little injury prone. He also doesn't bring his "A" game on a nightly basis. This is what RealGM says it would take to bring Horry back to Houston:

*** Walt Williams - but I don't think this excites either team. The Faker$ even less than the Rockets.

*** 'Los AND Shandon - this is not even worth discussing.

*** 'Los and Bull - both are FA's next year. The Faker$ would lose Horry's $5m contract which runs thru 2004. The $ we tie up in Horry is money which could be used on Shandon, Mo, or.....

*** Cato or Cuttino - both are BYC players so the salaries (thankfully) do not work.

The bottomline is that Horry would cost too much and do too little. We can probably get a 1st round SF who would be a better fit.

In 1993-94 Mugsy Bogues averaged more boards for the season than Mo is this season!!

I'd think the Lakers would want a dependable SG/SF (along with Mo) for Horry to make up for the failed Rider experiment. I think Walt's too much, and I think 'los is too valuable as an interchangable cog to let go...so how about somebody like Langhi? It's my impression that the Fakers lack a serious outside threat. I's suggest Bullard, but dropping the Bull would be too much bad karma, if ya dig.

    Time for some REALITY here!

    Robert Horry's season stats;

    MPG: 20.3
    PPG: 5.3
    FG%: 41.8
    FT%: 88.2
    3P%: 36.8
    RPG: 3.4
    APG: 1.6
    BPG: 0.8
    SPG: 0.9
    TPG: 1.0

As we can see he's bringing a whole lot of nothing to the table in a statistical sense. And they pretty much tell the story of Robert Horry's performances this year, inept - in fact, let's go one step further, he's been inept for the last few years and is not worth his $4.8 million dollar contract that lasts for another 3 years!

I'd rather have what little Mo is giving us then take however much less Horry would give (At roughly double the price).

He understood the system we USED to play, when he loitered around waiting for an open shot resulting from a pass out of a double or triple team of Hakeem. Defense? Have you watched much of him lately? He's a part time player. He's soft. He's slow. He's currently about 2/3 the player that Mo Taylor is now, and he'll never even get a whiff of how good Mo Taylor can be (it takes a while with a lot of PFs). He gets far too few boards for a player his size (where have we heard that before?) and has essentially no inside game. He whines a lot. A whole lot.

I'd give, um, half a stale po-boy and ah, this flat Dr. Pepper here to have him back. Otis Thorpe or Kevin Willis, old as they are, would be welocme if they just showed up, though. I'd even buy em a barbeque sandwich.

So admore, you are quite the early bird. What time zone are you in?

Horry is "currently about 2/3 the player Taylor is". I'd have to say Horry is currently 2/3's the player Horry was when Rudy coached him. How can such a whiner be called a winner and leader, because he has 3 rings?

I'd trade this 2/3s smoked cigarette for him, and um...this spent battery.

A motion has been made and seconded to trade MoTaylor2 to the Lakers in return for Robert Horry. Any discussion? All those in favor, vote by the usual sign among boardmembers. Motion carries. Clutch, please inform the Lakers by our next meeting. Any new business?

I think Croshere would be a better fit for Houston (at this point), but Horry (and Cassell) are winners. Horry, specifically, is an intelligent player with height and athleticism. Regular season performance notwithstanding, he comes to play in the post-season.
