very very weird, shows how media controls all the perspective of the viewers... at the start of the season, everyone had us at maximum 4th seed... right now we are at 5th seed with just a couple wins away from 4th seed, hardly the most disappointing team... while everyone rated clippers and GSW at 2nd and 3rd seed... GSW is at 7th now.... how is that not most disappointing? MEMphis is also rate at 4th seed they are not even in 8th lol...
If you watch the video you can somewhat understand where they're coming from. The thing I take issue with is their comment on our point guards. Lin's not putting up amazing numbers but he hasn't just "faded into the background" either. Beverley has been hurt and for the most part he's been a solid player, a good 1 on 1 defender that makes his impact on the rest of the stat sheet, not on PPG. If I have any disappointments, it's that Harden's defensive continues to be terrible and that Garcia's 3 point shot has completely disappeared.
Below expectations sounds right since we keep losing to teams we should be beating, but most disappointing? How? We're 5th seed and everyone on our team has improved with the exception of maybe Garcia.
I know what Curry can do and what he can't. He's an all star, but that's it. Not a superstar. Not even borderline. His physical limitations don't allow him to be. Also, he has a very good team built around him, and as a whole, they're not a team you fear come playoff time. Why? Because they don't have that one true superstar. If Curry was a superstar, with that cast, they'd be a top 3 team.
As for number 3, pretty much the whole season has a been a poor shooting night, and 32-17 despite that.
I think we are def underperforming... if you look at the pieces: D12 ("best center in the league..."), Harden ("superstar who DM stole..."), Jlin ("Linsanity..."), Chandler Bang ("who SASmith was a fool for not knowing...") a couple first rd draft picks (Tjones/DMo) to jockey at pf, Bev (the westbrook slayer), Asik ("one of the top defensive centers in the league").... we SHOULD be dominating.... even with the injuries... idk if we are the most disappointing, but the haphazard ups n downs of the year are def below my expectations... jus sayin....
I don't agree, but close. There have been some disappointing losses, but some big wins. I expected us to be where we are at present. I do expect improvement.Injuries have hurt progress.
I really don't know if there are any disappointing teams in the West. The Western teams are winning 66% of the games against the East. Many of the Western teams have had injury problems and they still have pretty good records. I would say that Minnesota fans are probably the most disappointed with their team. They have had some injured players, but Love has been healthy.
I'm very disappointed about the Omer Asik situation. It should not have been allowed to get this far. Truth be told, management really should have seen this coming. You have to admit, it is kind of weighing on the team.
san antonio has a terrible record against top 6 nba teams, like 1-11 record i think. they are like the opposite of the rockets, smash the weak teams and lose to the top teams. clippers were media darling and they are just 1 game better than us. we also lost our pg and you could argue have had more injuries. same goes for gsw, another media darling that is overrated. knicks and nets speak for themselves in an already weak east.
media reverting to revisionist history. media has no accountability these days. they no longer report news, they try and make news.
The most disappointing team is easily Dallas for making acquisitions to voluntarily get themselves stuck in the black hole of mediocrity in a year where they could've ended up with Wiggins, Parker, Smart, Randle, or Embiid.
there are a few more teams that are definitely most disappointing. the rockets are underperforming but only by a little bit. not too far off the mark. other teams were hyped and they are way off.
