Blazers slowly falling back to earth. And Wiz are DEFINITELY handling their business, to our benefit.
I don't want Portland to fall too far. Rockets would benefit from a 4/5 matchup with them no matter who has home court. Would rather play them than Memphis or Golden State.
I'm sorry, but I am enjoying Portland's fall. They were being hyped so much in the first half of the season even though their schedule was super weak. That probably also helped Lillard get an All-Star spot even though his FG% is just terrible (.419). He's Stephen Curry except for within 23 ft.
Yours is the ideal situation. Mine is more realistic IMO. Remember, the Grizzlies could end up 6 instead of Phoenix. I'll continue wanting the Spurs to lose every game and hoping the Blazers end up 4 or 5.
I'll take the Blazers loss and be content tonight. The Nuggets winning would be a nice cherry on top. I wish the Pelicans would've held on, but they suck so I won't be too greedy.
That was painful. It's hard to finish a game with the stale starting lineup (with both Perkins and Thabo). The magic is gone and OKC will be happy to finish 4-1 before the ASB. From Memphis' standpoint, it doesn't matter where they finish in the standings. When Gasol gets fully healthy and Conley comes back, I think every team in the conference will be scared of them except for OKC. Rockets want to avoid them like the plague in the 1st round.
Eventually in the playoffs you have to face the best teams. Eventually we would have to beat OKC. It is better long term to face the best teams regardless of where we finish.
