Well... the Rockets are currently a top 8 team and he's in their rotation and producing well for his ROLE... so I'd say the Houston Rockets are team I would say.

The Rockets really produce well with their 2nd unit with a guy like Casspi in it. You saw it last year with a similar player in Marcus Morris where their most productive offensive lineups were when Morris was on the floor with their 2nd unit.

You dont have to be a great player, to be a great player for a certain role a team needs.

I hate the idea of Bass not because he's not a decent role playing big (plays solid post defense, rebounds well, and can hit the mid range) but mostly because I know McHale would opt to go with Bass over Jones & D-Mo who have shown the potential to be much more dynamic players in a few years, and really need PT.

Also you add in the Dwight factor as well. He's played alongside Bass before for a whole season, and that led to Fegan forcing Orlando's hands to trade him ASAP for Davis. Obviously Dwight didn't feel like he fit well alongside Bass for whatever reason. I'd rather Morey just not go there, and his contract will be damn near impossible to move as well.

    Just not a fan... sorry.

I think he almost made the trade IN SPITE of Lee/Bass & their contracts because of the draft pick situation. I dont think the trade had that much to do with getting Lee/Bass as it did with getting some bench help and helping out their situation from a draft pick perspective that could set them up for a much bigger trade later on in the season for another player he was targeting.

Morey knew the contracts of Lee/Bass sucked which is why he needed collateral (awesome draft pick/s) to be able to move them or other players later on.

That Asik deal.... was all about draft picks.

I don't think he's going to come back, so luckily we'll avoid this problem.

McHale has wanted a 10-11 man rotation since training camp. Unfortunately Garcia turned into Garcia and Asik turned into a pumpkin.

My guess is they try to run 10 deep. I also think the Rockets will add a rotation player at the deadline.

I'd be surprised if they hung on to Brewer. His defense has been nice but producing too little for a hungry, Deadline Morey. imo

Hopefully when Asik comes back he gets Casspi's minutes.

That is a large amount of speculation presented as facts. You might end up being right but it would just be blind luck. Omer had an injury where it would heal but when stressed the knee would fill up with fluid which was confirmed by team doctors. This information is called a 'fact'. "He simply doesn't want to play for this franchise", a half-truth, the only fact we have here is he was very disgruntled over the signing of a starting center Dwight Howard. As for the franchise itself he did play for it happily the previous year. "When he plays his next game it will be for a different team." Total speculation on that one. While that outcome is possible is it most likely he will play additional games as a Rocket.

Turkey and the USA in the same group means we might get a Dwight Howard vs. Omer Asik matchup.

    Will be interesting

Both guys really don't excel in international play for some reason. Small ball really reigns supreme.

I think Aldridge and Anthony Davis are two guys who are really going to be featured in the middle in the next batch of team USA games with Melo and Durant playing the stretch 4 roles. Lots of drive and kick, and a ton of 3's.

Howard, Chandler, Drummond, and Cousins wont really have much of a role on the team other than to provide muscle & to guard the Gasol's when they play Spain. If I'm Dwight, its kinda hard for me to take team USA that seriously as something he's really going to be that needed for. Take the free trip. Support your country, and get some cardio to start getting ready for next season with the Rockets.

Once Omer is back we will lead Minnesota by 9 at the half.
