Bev played a great game despite not scoring at all. Yes, he needs to pick it up offensively, but he's young, he'll get there. He'll never be a great offensive player, but he should get to a point where he can score enough to not be a liability. That's all he needs to do because he'll always bring hustle and defensive effort.

 

Lin's dad is a Hakeem Only Fan?

 

Bev had at least 2 easy basket opportunities, but very unselfishly, passed
to Lin and the other to Harden off the backboard.

So I doubt if he is too concerned about the no points.

I like the Lin/Bev backcourt.

 

Does the Rockets have a coach just for this?

If so, maybe time for a new one

 

You are a fool with no concept of team building or building a rotation.

Lin has shown he can produce under the right conditions...as the 6th man with the bench unit.

If you still fail to see the value of a guy like Beverly in this starting line-up,. you should quit posting opinions on the sport.

 

Anyone bashing Lin or Bev tonight needs to perform some soul-searching. The team was amazingly good tonight!

great team game today, and the passing was a joy to watch. Jeremy Lin is back to his form he showed at the start of the year and he might even get on a run that brings him in to 6th man of the year contention.

 

Pat Beverley's defence was awesome as well

 

Great win! Time to build on this winning streak some more.

 

also, i just read that Patrick Beverley became the first NBA player to tally 10 rebounds, eight dimes and five steals without scoring a point since steals became an official stat in 1973.

 

Next game is huge now, we are only 1 game ahead of the suns in the loss column and they could be going into the next game on a 6 game streak if they win their first leg of the b2b.

Hopefully we can take some lessons from this game and play inside out from the start

No, Lin produces as a 6th man. As a starter his production suffers due to not having room to be himself due to having Harden and Howard together. The floor becomes crowded he becomes more of a catch and shoot guy.

As part of the bench he can play his style as the #1 playmaker.

Lin has the ability to produce as a starter.

Just the coaches let someone else to be the playmaker(s).

 

The Rockets played well for most of the game. I just feel that their bench and D still sucks and to go deep in the championship will require a lot more and better effort than yesterday's game. It's a step up and I think this has boosted Lins trade value a few points so teams not only have the whole Asia market and Millions of LOF but a great point guard that is still improving. If I were the gm I would trade Lin and Asik and DMo and Garcia away to get a much more well rounded bench cast of shooters and defenders.

 

Were highlights posted of the game besides the Lin one?

 

I don't think so . I would have uploaded but i am busy. I will upload from the next game regularly because there are only Lin highlights or when Harden has an amazing perfomance.
