Also a falsehood - the team has not given Lin opportunities to start - only unforseen injuries found him 'subbing' in the starting lineup. Lin and Bev are very different players - so a great Lin and an average Bev will always end up in Bev starting because they want an 'apple' not an 'orange' so to speak.

Man, half of the league, including DMo earlier in the season and Greg Smith before he got injured, only wish they can "not get opportunities" the way Jeremy Lin does.

This was only possible because of all the complaints on Clutchfans. Proof that Mchale reads the message boards instead of drawing plays during games.

McHale very clearly said that the starting unit with Parsons (and Jones) did not play well, and that's why he went with the other guys (Lin, DMo and Casspi):

McHale pretty much went as far as coaches ever go in these post-game interviews.

The most changes is actually they no longer make Lin stay in the corner watching for long, when he is in. Lin has only limited dribbling skill, but he is still the best person for ball handling on the team. Offense is smoother. But Cavs is a bad team posting no real challenge.

You can kind of sense a bit of uneasiness among Lin skeptics and pro-Bev fans with the accumulation of Lin's strong performances this year in varying roles. He is clearly not mediocre. He has clearly improved his overall skillset. He is playing better defensively than Beverley in key guard matchups. Harden's numbers clearly do not suffer with Lin on the court. The team has a better winning percentage with Lin starting alongside Harden. The only argument left to support the idea of playing Lin off the bench is that he can spark the second unit because of his ability to score. But why would you inherently limit Lin's minutes when he can be this productive? It makes little sense. When Rockets fans look at Dragic's and Lowry's success this year, they should wonder whether there is a flaw in the way the organization and its fan base looks at point guards. Those fans might want to think twice before trading Lin or putting him in a position where he feels his game would flourish elsewhere.

Lately I have a feeling that McHale reads the game thread and makes his substitutions accordingly.

Was Parson hurt? Like after that awful dunk, his hand took a pounding

One of the rare times McHale made a good move. Parsons wasn't doing much against Luol Deng, and Harden couldn't stop Dion Waiters. Let's just switch to the 3 guard lineup and run them off the court.

Me too ;) and what Dr.Nubgooburger said. Really that might be a part of it. Parsons spoke and got punished or maybe not. CH is wrong either way.

LOL...only difference is Parsons was a non-factor. Lin gets pulled even when he's playing well.

He's not entitled to start - I'm refuting the notion that there was/is some sort of competition to be the starter - there is no competition as the coaches want a Bev with the starters - Lin can't be a Bev, much less a better Bev, anymore than Bev can be a Lin - so that's why I say it's apples and oranges. Lin has 0 or less chance to start on this team - but obviously he does have a chance to get significant minutes when playing well.
