Jeremy is an American of Chinese heritage. All these talks about Taiwanese is not Chinese is just plain BS. Taiwan is officially called ROC (Republic of China)

 

Chinese is a race, to assume that every Chinese are China citizen is just pure ignorant.

 

So Lin is Chinese.

 

His nationality is American, his ethnicity is Taiwanese, which many would say is still Chinese. I tend to agree, to say Taiwanese is an ethnicity is like saying American is an ethnicity, which it isn't, unless you're talking about Native Americans. The same goes for Taiwanese, unless you're talking about Taiwanese Aborigines, the different between Taiwanese and Chinese is political. Lin himself has identified in the past both as Chinese and Taiwanese. But either way it doesn't matter because Taiwanese people celebrate the Lunar New Year as well.

 

Chinese is called Mainlander. Jeremy is Taiwanese American. He is more Americanize than more of u guys here in this board.
