Dirk would foul out DMo faster than he basically fouled out TJones with more exposure. Also, I think we would se diminishing returns of Dmo's defense over a playoff series.

Dmo's biggest asset yesterday was his defensive rebounding.

Parsons is probably the best chance to slow down Dirk long-term (with a double) without being whistled for a foul nearly every time.

    Lin switching D

And they better find a way to not let Lin switch to a player taller than 6'8".

Dmo should've been playing. That is all.

Off-topic:Feel sorry for Dirk,he plays at such a high lvl,but does not have anyone around him,the second best player is Monta Ellis and he is a bigger chucker than Harden.

Never feel sorry for Dirk. Dude has killed us for more than a decade. One of my least favorite players

really impressed with the way DMo has been playing. He's been very productive in his limited time on the court. Still way too many fouls and too quickly, but you can see his ability, and if he keeps working, he really has the talent to be a force. I hope we continue to give him 20+ minutes a game. He's earned it.

Dmo did take over the game for that stretch after he took the Carter elbow - looked like a a good hit, but better reaction from Dmo.

Yeah, I noticed that too. He kept switching and leaving the guard to stay with Dirk. DMo really needs to learn from Asik *gasp!* how to defend the PnR.

bingo, this is the main reason TJones was taken out of the game.

On more than one occasion did we give up an offensive rebound due to poor boxing out. I'm not sure if you can really fault TJones and Dwight for they carry so much of the defensive responsibility. When they are out of position, it becomes so much more difficult for them to grab the board.

Besides having a wider frame, DMo is much more disciplined about boxing out and thus limiting 2nd chance opportunities.

btw, i stand by my assertion that DMo's fouls were horrendous. If Greg Smith were healthy, I bet he would have come in immediately.

I've noticed this also. D-Mo, love him, but he's not exactly the smoothest looking guy out there when he's running or trying to find the right space to be in.

That said, he's obviously getting better the more he plays. Glad to see him progressing and contributing in meaningful playing time.

Dmo played decent today , no argue.
but he wasnt able to 1 on 1 Dirk.
Casspi constantly help the Dirk defender and was able to return o his man in time.

I feel bad for him as well. Other people's faces constantly foul his elbows. He can't catch a break.

His defense is not good enough to really be a Dirk Stopper at this stage. However, he has a similar body type which can at least make Dirk need to change his shot.

Really hard to fathom being 3 games behind the Spurs. Would not had thought this would be a likely scenario at the beginning of the season. Father time has been great for the growing Rockets and hazardous for Grandpa Spurs.

Now any time we can limit the opposing F to 10 of 23 shooting for 38 points and 17 rebounds every night we could be a serious contender.

    Keep it up Dmo!

he bothered Dirk enough for few times he got 1on1 situation with him, that Dirk was forced to drive instead of shoot.

Yep, great D, as otherwise Dirk could have gotten 100 pts and 50 rebounds
