They got snubbed because NBA agents don't like Morey's arrogance. They don't want him to be able to say he traded next to nothing for two All-star PGs.
I'm watching Dragic slice threw the Pacers like a hot knife through butter and Lowry on the verge of being selected to the All Star Game and wondering, do Morey think the ONLY mistakes he's made is a #1 for Royce White!!! We have a Problem
Gonna give credit where it is due. They are having a great year, because they are playing in the right system and enjoy being the No.1 option, and they are taking full advantage of it. But just want to put things in their perspective, Rox didn't make playoffs that year, having BOTH of them as PG.
nice selective memory you posters got both Lowry and Dragic were gone... before the Rox even offered Lin that poison pill contract bottom line you were getting rid of players to get Howard... and basically had to over pay Lin because these two guys didnt want to be there....
Lowry got us Harden so that had to be done. Dragic looks bad in hindisght but no one knew he would be this good. With Harden and Howard in the fold Morey would have handed over that player option. But you can't blame the man for a full throttle pursuit of a star and casualties like Scola and Dragic were to be expected. Anger directed at Morey is just asinine. He acquired those guys for nada and it's very likely he can do it again. Lol you guys should go be Knicks, Pistons, Cavs, etc. fans and gain a little perspective on what it means to have a terrible GM.
Dragic averaged like 19 points and 9 assists over a stretch of the last 20 games of the season for us before he took off. We knew and witnessed his emergence. Damn him for demanding a stupid player option though.
Wrong! Morey backed himself into a corner. He refused to offer Dragic another year and he traded Lowry. The problem I had was refusing Dragic the extra year....Lin will never be as good as Dragic and said part about it both guys wanted to be here.
Nah, look at their numbers from last season, if anything it just shows what a difference plus a good coach or minus a ball hog can make.
Probably couldn't afford both Dragic and Howard/Harden. If we had Dragic we probably couldn't have offered Howard the max deal he got. He is damn good but I also think Jeff Horneck is turning out to be one hell of a coach. I doubt Dragic would be as good here.
