None of his shots should be 3's unless it's from the corner. Feed this dude the ball in the post, I thought that's what he was good at...

You need to set a culture where players earn time. He didn't play them until they earned it.

Mchale haters are contradictory "mchale needs to hold players accountable" then say "why is he not playing dmo?"

I love the way he runs the floor, always hustles. His defense does need work but he puts the effort in, sometimes too much and ends up fouling. He can add another 10-20 lbs on his frame, which will help his post d. He can shoot, I think it's more of a confidence issue which comes with more pt. Wish they would drop it down to him more often so we can watch him use his post skills.

Exactly. All this you need a culture to do stuff is BS. DMo was in McHale's doghouse and could have been contributing much more long ago and be much more improved now. I am not even on the fire McHale bandwagon I just wish he would get it sooner.

It's okay he seems like he has got that Casspi is better than Garcia at the 3 and DMo is better backing up TJones than Casspi and Dmo is better at backing up Howard than TJones and DMo is better playing down the stretch in the 4th quarter when you have guys like Aldridge and Zach and Dirk to stop.

Many on here have known that for a while. Now we just got to get him to continue to give Lin consistent minutes even if he is a bench player. ANd stick with this strategy. I am curious how he works Greg Smith back in. I thought Smith looked good this year. His improvement surprised me but now I got to wonder if his return automatically cuts into DMo's minutes.

If you polled Clutchfans I think over 2/3 of us would agree that Harden and Howard should have their playing time capped at 36mpg, for the regular season at least. This opens time for Jeremy to be out there at least 24-30mins a night and DMo to get about 20. I'm still hoping that Asik can wake up and play some minutes for us at the backup C tho. We would instantly become legit contenders for the championship if he were to buy in.

Dmo wasn't given time because he earned it, Dmo was given time because Mchale had no choice, that's first. Second how do you earn time if your not given time or the chance to prove yourself.

It is in part due to need, with no Asik or Smith, and I think partly due to market him better for a trade. I don't think the team is keeping DMo and Jones, and it this point you only move Jones for a 3rd star, so DMo is more likely to be moved.

Exactly, good post. I think Smith should be in their with Dmo at times to give Howard and Tjones rest, Asik isn't coming back, I had hoped he would be but he is not, if he did Smiths role will be diminished because Dmo's potential is greater.

Dmo is a gamer. He will be more valuable in the playoffs than Tjones when the game slows down.

Moving Jones would be stupid, h's so young and has crazy potntial, he just dropped a 36 point game in his second year, dude is a power forward who can take you off the dribble he can shoot the mid range and the 3 point, once he gets more comfortable with his shot he will be near All-Star level in 3 to 4 years.

I don't know if will or not, but that is why I said for a 3rd star. I'd move him for LMA or Kevin Love. Of course, I don't expect either to be moved.

DMo has shown that he defends better big PF. TJones struggles against big PF and usually can't box them out.

My problem with DMo is what will happen with him when (big if) Asik and Smith come back,Cause we saw that McHale prefers to play them more than Donatas.

I agree. I think DMo is a better fit next to Howard and Tjones is a better fit to Asik because he always goes up for block. When we play Tjones together with DH, our defensive rebounding is atrocious because both of them went up for block.

I have always known DMO can produce. Just that coach McHale couldn't find playing time for him for some unknown reason until recently.

I'd like DMO to get more low post touches and watch out on the ticky tacky fouls

Maybe Jones, Dmo, Smith and Asik add up to a third superstar. There is certainly something to be said for being able to run fresh troops in and keep the pressure up on teams that aren't deep; building leads or making runs when the other team is tired or playing lesser players. It's also great insurance against, God Forbid, injuries.

Dmo took it to Durk in the first half last night, no doubt.

Hell, TJones was having a hard time with Boris Diaw. He struggles badly with post defense. Great at defending guards when they switch though.

Would love to see him workout with KG.

dmo has really stepped it up and hasn't looked so lost in recent games. To be fair, that comes with game experience and he's getting it now. He also needs to control his body better and the obvious defense, but can't falter him when so many of our guys do also. Keep it up DMO!
