he is the best player on this team and the best play maker on the team. that doesnt change the fact he is a ball hog. lbj could dominate the ball if he wanted to and he is the best play maker and best player on the team, but he doesnt and has always played pretty good team ball throughout his career. even before miami.
Yea look what he's done with his team. Look what hardens done with all the talent on ours.... We have like three more wins.
Harden is our best passer, Lin and Brooks can't throw nifty passes like he can in the post and between players legs like Harden does, most of Lin's passes are bail out passes where he dribbles in to trouble and gets a bail out pass that turns in to an assist from a three or outside shot, he had a few of those tonight. Lin played shooting guard tonight as well, he also needs to draw more fouls on the other team with aggressive drives
This is a formula that could actually work. In addition, by playing more team ball for the first 3 quarters, he would save that extra energy for when things really count: the all important 4th quarter.
you forgetting Eric Bledsoe as well, the Suns are 10-10 without Bledsoe also when have we had a full team this season ? we would have many more wins if we had a full team every night. we are 31-17 and haven't really played our best basketball yet that is pretty good
Logically wrong. Are u implying that team doesn't have to move the ball when best playmakers in game?
Bingo. Precisely the reason I often avoid posting (well that and the ridiculous LOF/LOH's "debates"). Unbelievable people don't understand what his comments meant. "Have to take good shots" also means "'cause we can't create our own shot like James".
cp3- play maker- PG- passes the ball a lot harden is an all star, a great player. but his game in not to be a chucker, he is not a kobe, durant, melo. he is a player who has a wide skill set, but he plays the role of a PG at times and a chucker other times. he is neither. he is a guard, and a gifted one at that. he should play that position, not try to be something else. someone said earlier today, this is what they did with ariza except of course james is a much better player than him. they are grooming james to be a superstar, and i hope he gets there. but in all honesty, i think he will improve over his career to be a top 10 player, but i think the chances of him entering top 5 is around 25 %. even if he does make top 5, that doesnt mean he will get a ring. he has a skill set that will thrive under team ball, with him being the closer. problem is that he is playing the wrong role. post tmac yao this team played excellent team ball under adelman and were one or two pieces away from being a contender. now we have those two pieces, but harden doesnt play team ball in the clutch. we need a closer, but we dont need harden to be something he is not.
It's really just Harden. Howard isn't as demanding, and he's forced to play team ball since he depends heavily on how much other players feed him.
Considering that 1 on 1 was a big part of what they usually did when Harden was around... not doing it is a significant change, and a positive one.
