Lowry couldn't play well with a shot dominant Rudy Gay. You think he would play nice with Harden. When Harden keeps the ball, uou think Lowry will shut up and play like Lin? no way. Lowry will not take a back seat, as shown in his previous stint. I don't think he is that much better than Lin. Great trade for the Raptors.

 

I think rolling with Lowry, Parsons, and Jones is just as intriguing as nabbing a Kevin Love-type player. We would be balanced at all 5 positions with top 75 players, assuming Jones and Parsons continue to develop. IMO we would be a better version of the early-00's Pistons.

I agree with you re: Toronto being offered something better. However, the Asik chip has yet to fall, so I expect Morey to work hard to get a 1st rounder that can be used as a sweetener for a hypothetical Lowry deal. Toronto would continue to be competitive with Lin for this year and next year, while grabbing a few solid assets for rebuilding. Definitely unlikely, but if Morey is interested I think he can at least get the Raps attention.

Can someone explain why Kyle and Kevin didn't get along and subsequenlty led to him being traded. It must have been very bad!

I'd like our chances for a title.

Asik + DMo + picks for Millsap

Covington + cash for Dunleavy Jr

Lowry and Millsap would give us the toughness we need, and Dunleavy can help stretch the floor.

 

That's not the only reason that won't happen. It also won't happen cause Atlanta isn't stupid. Millsap is the only good thing they have going for them, he is easily the best player. And they arent just going to give it up for a center who has hardly played this year.

Also why would the bulls want to do that trade. What can they possibly do with Covington

 

I love Lowry much more than Rondo, but we will get none of them anyway..

 

I think there were rumors of Dunleavy being a salary dump candidate.

Anyway, I know it wouldn't happen. I don't think we'd get Lowry for that package either, so I figured why not take the fantasy just a little further.

 

I seriously doubt Lowry wants to come back to the Rockets and be the back-up PG. Oh, and there's that thing with McHale...

Firing McHale first, before you start the Lowry trade. But then, it may not make much sense to trade Lin for a gamble of Lowry resigning for cheap, unless Morey were convinced that Lin were indeed as bad as McHale made him be. That's a dilemma. In the end, firing McHale appears to be a dominant strategy no matter what.

 

That would be a dream lowry come here and lin go to toronto chinese land.

 

The beef started way before this.

For example, In the early part of that season, the Rockets lost a game and Lowry was interviewed after it. Lowry said something about how the team didn't make adjustments. When the reporters followed up and asked whether Lowry meant players adjusting by playing harder or if it's a matter of team schemes, Lowry said it was a matter of schemes. In a practice soon after, the reporters came in when the Rockets just finished practice and were huddling together. Luis Scola broke the huddle, saying "1, 2, 3... Shut the **** up and play!"

 

I'm afraid the Rockets would have to replace McHale first before they can bring in Lowry. I don't think Lowry would like to play fore McHale again.

I'm all for it if that is to happen.

 

Some fans see Harden and Lowry clashing. I see Lowry with that Westbrook toughness. I don't think he will back down to Harden.

Maybe he will get Harden to be accountable with his defense. Certainly he will prevent those awful Harden isos.

If we get Lowry, that may mean we will eventually let go of McHale. I mean, even Howard's improving post-play is a product of Carroll Dawson's work.

 

If we could somehow get milsap and lowery locked in with parsons and harden/Howard that my friends is like a more offensively talented Indiana Pacers team. The rockets would be unstoppable with that team. I'm under the impression that Howard and harden are good enough to win a ring with the right roll players. Adding milsap and lowery would give us more talent defense and more important toughness with that edge needed to play against the okc and Miamis.

I'm hoping this is the type of rout Morey takes I want to win with these guys now, we're almost their we got the two hardest parts to get in harden and Howard. We hit the good role player in parsons now we need 2 more parsons and milsap and lowery are those guys.

I don't know if this is a possible acquisitions getting these two or not but if we could do it I'm sure Morey wouldn't hesitate because we would be good to go for a ring this season.

 

The fact that the Raptors are even above .500 right now is phenomenal. Kyle Lowry is a beast.
