I honestly think Patrick Beverley is our most important player.

It depends what you mean by most important to win a game maybe PB could be that guy on a given night, but to win a championship that would depend on the deveoplment of Terrance Jones. Some might argue via the recent podcast that he may be traded, but that's only because he can get us something back in return. As much as I do like PB I just cannot say the same thing about him.

This. Total myth. One good game against Holiday and everyone thinks he's some defensive juggernaut. If you actually watch the games he gets blown by just as much as anyone else on D.

Swagger? Demeanor? None of these matters if he doesn't help the team win. This video debunks the myth that Beverly is a good fit for the rockets

With all respect, the title mentions Bev. I don't know if there is a need to insert Lin into the conversation.

    C'mon, there's been 5 other players mentioned.

i don't think either is our most important player, but when they're on they can both help the team alot.

Stick all the Lin vs. Bev discussions in Clutch's thread.

And No. I don't think Bev is our most important player.

    Most valuable players in order:
    Harden
    Howard
    Parsons
    Lin

Most important player for the team is:
    Parsons

Because we have no depth at 3 to replace what Parsons does.

If push came to shove, McHale would make Lin play the 3.

I feel Asik can be our greatest piece.

I'd say Parsons + Dwight... those are the only two we can't seem to get along without.

We've been extremely lucky that Dwight hasn't had to miss any time this season. (Knock on wood.)

Honestly, what sets Pat Beverley apart from all the other guys is he's a tough, hard nose, in your face, never back down or I'm going to westbroke your ACL type of dude. People like to talk about the Linsanity story which is a great story within itself, but PatBe's story from how he was practically dead last in the 09 draft, to playing overseas then landing a starting spot on a contender team in the NBA, is a beautiful story in its own right.

Being tough is useless if he can't really do anything else.

Obviously he can not be the most important player because his name is not Jeremy Lin.

agreed. he brings energy to the team which is severely needed. though i wouldnt say hes the mos timportant. are we going to trade harden and howard and start building around him now? :D

everyone else on the team seems passive. tjone gets hyped up but he doesnt infect others
