It will change my opinion of him of course though if we get embarrassed in the WCF it doesn't help his case.
Quite embarrassing trying to deny what you'd said. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=8643065&postcount=6727 You are just trying to contradicting yourself. First you used injuries to our top two defenders as an excuse. Then you are saying team is doing well defensively in spite of missing them. So which one is it?
Maybe you didn't read my post correctly, but I NEVER suggested that I wanted the Rockets to lose on purpose, or even lose at all. I also said that if it happened, although unlikely to happen, it would hurt me very much. Maybe you just read it too fast and misunderstood what I was saying.
This team should win 50 games even if Clutch the bear was the coach. The question is, what coach can get them to 55 - 60 wins and at least past the 2nd round? Can McHale do it? It's possible...but I doubt it.
I was talking about defensive rebounding.... It requires actually reading for context.... Almost had me!
everyone was so hyped with dwight coming here, that hakeem and mchale would greatly improve his post game, but pjax said it best on nbatv; his post game needs advanced development imagine if dwight was a legitimate threat with his back to the basket (meaning he could shoot turnarounds and hookshots) what has mchale honestly done with him?
mchale has to go. this team can only thrive in an offensive chaos for so long. it works against lesser coached teams but against well structured defensive teams it really shows that we really dont have a clue on what to do. point and case is giving dwight the ball in the post with 5 seconds left on the clock. who coaches that? mchale does. another one is switching on picks. leaving lin or brooks on dirk. wtf, who does that? mchale does.
RUN A DIFFERENT IN BOUNDS PLAY YOU THICK ****. If you have to call a timeout because it wasn't working the first time, WHY WOULD YOU RUN IT A SECOND TIME?!??!
We win in spite of McHale not because of him. He almost grabbed defeat from the victory right here singlehanded ly.
Yeah blame the COACH for the PLAYER'S boneheaded mistakes. While we're at it, a player makes a turnover. McHale's fault. Player misses a layup- McHale's fault. Player misses a free-throw- McHale's fault. Player takes an awful shot- McHale's fault.
A team with the talent to be 5th in the west should have enough talent to inbound play given 2 chances.
The inbounds play was inexcusable, although that turnover was ultimately on Brooks. If he just held the damn thing, they would've had to foul him. But as much as I loathe McFail as a head coach, tonight was mostly on the players. They're the ones who kept fouling jump-shooters(on 3-pointers no less!). Offensively the Rockets did ok down the stretch. Credit McFail for telling his team to let Lin be the primary ballhandler after that brutal stretch midway through the 4th where Beverley made some bad decisions. It let them score just enough to build a cushion even the Rockets couldn't blow in Dallas.
No we blame the coach for losing the X's and O's battle night in and night out. We credit the players for pulling points and possessions out of THIN AIR when we are operating at such a coaching deficit. When you have to rely on sheer talent and athleticism to get your wins, that won't last forever. It's painfully clear McHale is dragging this team down with his ineptitude.
is it just me or does mchale manage minutes better with a shortened rotation...seems like more minutes for the players individually and their rhythm is better overall
