Umm Lin would definately start on the Lakers. He's MDA's pet player and single handledly saved his career for a decent amount of time when MDA was with the knicks

Rubio is trash. I've watch more then enough Wolves games and the dude is absolutely anemic scoring-wise, and his decision making down the stretch has cost them ALOT of games. But no all aboard the "KLove no supasta" train.

    Lin IS better than Felton.

I think the Lakers would stick with him, just so they can give extra rest to Nash. Perfect fit for Lin is in LA.

    Pacers: No
Jazz: I think Burke is their guy

Either way, it's hard to come up with even about 7 teams in the NBA that Lin would start for which in itself shows that there is not much of a market for him as the PG position is deep. A below average PG on a bloated contract makes it even tougher for Lin.

Scoring is just one side of the equation. Wolves score 106.8 points per game good for 2nd in the league even with Rubio's "anemic" scoring.

Wolves have a problem with D and Rubio is a much much better defender than Lin. A Lin-KMart backcourt would be putrid defensively. And again, even for Monny, Lin would be 4th option on offense behind Love, KMart and Pek.

I think we all know the PG position is loaded in the NBA.

But I think given the chance Lin would be a very solid starter. Most stats place him conservatively on the bracket of top 15-20 PG. That would mean he should be able to start for at least 10 teams in the league.

But yes, if we can't even trade Asik forget about trading Lin. Besides, if you do trade Lin, who the heck are you going to replace him with in the team?

You guys may b**** about Lin alot but there isn't really an alternative PG that is available on the market right now.

Its really up to the coaches to maximise Lin's strengths (after Harden and Howard of course), because you probably aren't getting a better player at his position.

Rubio is the same player now that he was at 17. They literally go three feet under screens. Why people think he is good is beyond me. It looks like he's trying to throw a brick at the rim when he shoots from beyond 15

All you do is hate. Even with a system that makes him a SG, Lin has starting PG numbers, that's a fact.

Hes flashy. Thats probably why people like him so much. Some of his passes are orgasmic.

But for the life of me, I cannot understand why the Wolves rate him higher than Kevin Love. Its sheer idiocy.

Meh, we could look at the Linsanity period, several games last year against big opponents, or even the start of this season before he started getting yanked. I don't think its just "ifs and buts."

"which team in the NBA would Lin start for" is not a very interesting question. I mean, you could make the argument that Westbrook wouldn't start for the Heat, because he'd take touches away from Lebron and Wade, but by no stretch of the imagination is Chalmers better than Westbrook. A much more interesting question is who is "better" and would play significant minutes.

If you're asking whether there is a market for Lin in terms of trading him, then I could agree with your analysis. There really isn't, but it does not necessarily reflect poorly upon his abilities.

That's why that team is a joke. A couple behind the back passes on SC doesn't atone for every mid range shot hitting the backboard before the rim. Rubio sucks

Why so angry dude? I'm gonna go in depth so all this nonsense can stop doe. Anybody that disagrees can respond, but yall better put down some knowledge cuz thats the only thing I b acceptin yo.

Current teams with undebatably worse starting PGs are:

    Chicago (DJ Augustin...)
    Milwaukee (Lol)
    LA Lakers
    New York

So, if Jeremy Lin was magically placed on four out of 30 teams, he'd be unquestionably the best PG on their current roster... That's actually not bad at all. 13.3% of teams, actually.

There are a few teams where I personally think their roster would be better if Jeremy was the starting point, but this argument is definitely debatable. These are the teams where I personally think Lin would be a better fit than the current PG on the roster:

Minnesota: Minnesota runs Adelman's offense. They have an inside out game with Pek/Love. They have a shooter in Martin on the wings but a huge problem they have is that Brewer + Rubio can not shoot at all. I'm not talking about "Francisco Garcia can't shoot," levels either. They are both literally some of the worst shooters at their positions (And in Rubio's case, in the entire league.) Also, none of Minnesota's guards (Except JJ Barrea... LET ME REPEAT, JJ BARREA) can drive the ball to the rim. Lin's strength of driving and finishing would trump Rubio's better defense + woeful shooting imo, and he actually provides an element of a reckless driver Minnesota doesn't have on it's roster. (It should be noted here though, that Minnesota's biggest issue is that Pek/Love can't defend the rim, so even adding a better offensive quality PG in Lin probably wouldn't improve the Wolves dramatically.)

Brooklyn: They're currently starting Shaun Livingston, who actually is playing pretty wonderfully. I think Shaun is at the level Andre Miller was at maybe 2-3 years ago, which is awesome. He's a savvy vet who plays fundamentally and within himself. Problem is, that's what most of the Nets players are... Savvy veterans who play within themselves... Their vets can no longer play above their heads, because they simply don't have the legs to do it anymore. Brooklyn's problem is that they just flat out need more firepower on their team, especially with Lopez out for the season. Lin would fit as a better starter than Livingston imo, though I love his game.

Sidenote: A healthy Deron Williams would obviously be the starter in this situation, but he's been injured all season and even when he's played, he's looked very shakey at times. Now even if Deron came back and played at an above average level, (Which is actually a HUGE question mark. Dem anklez) Lin could come off the bench for this team and be very valuable to them.

Detroit: Brandon Jennings is in the top 3 lowest percentage range for shots at the rim. He shoots 33 percent from three. He shoots 37 percent from the field. 37 PERCENT FROM THE FIELD. He average SEVENTEEN POINTS A GAME. 17! ON 37 PERCENT FROM THE FIELD. He takes 15 FG's a game. He should not be taking half that many shots. The best players on the Pistons are their front court players, who they should be featuring more. Drummond/Monroe and Smith should be involved in some sort of motion/PNR offense where they are constantly rolling to the rim and finishing. Drummond is 2nd in the league in dunks. Smith + Monroe can finish well. Lin is a great PNR guard and has ranked in the top 5 of both categories in two different seasons. Lin would absolutely KILL IT with the Pistons' frontcourt. This is the one team where if Lin joined their rinks, I would actually bet the house on him blowing up.

Orlando: Jameer Nelson is the Starter here. He's getting older and he's a savvy vet. He's no longer the whirling dervish he used to be when he was young. He's still a very solid PG. Shooting FG% are pretty low, but he runs their team alright. Orlando is another team that needs firepower, and Jeremy would bring Orlando's win total up maybe 3-4. Oladipo, who some thought could be the PG of the future, has shown more and more to be a SG in the NBA, so Orlando actually doesn't have a long-term plan for the PG position. Investing in a player like Lin in this situation might actually make a lot of sense.

New Orleans: Jrue Holiday is awesome. He's one of the best defensive PGs in the league. His passing ability is pretty good, though I think his court vision is average for a PG. His offense is solid, but not spectacular. He does NOTHING poorly, plays great defense and does nothing else at a higher clip than above average. He is currently a better player than Jeremy Lin, but with Anthony Davis on that team, I think an attacking point to pair with the Davis PNR would be MONSTERISH. Monster mash, man. And while Holiday is a very good defender, and Lin is slightly above average (at best) to slightly below average, Davis renders all of that a moot point. At just 20 years old, he is already maybe the best help defender in the league, and is a great rim protector, as he's already first (or second?) in the league in Blocks. (Not sure if he's still first or Ibaka is.)

Sacramento: Isaiah Thomas is a gangster. Dude is like 5'8-5'9 and is dropping close to 20PPG on good efficiency. He was the 60th pick in the draft and he's made it. Nothing but love here. He's an absolute offensive dynamo. But he's also not a point guard. He's Sacramento Kings 6th man Bobby Jackson 2.0. Seriously. He does nothing else well. (That doesn't mean he's not average in some categories though.) He is an average passer. But he has poor court vision, especially for a PG, and the worst thing about him starting the PG position, is that he looks for his shot firstly before anything else. This is a problem because Cousins is clearly the best player on that team, and the offense should be running through him 100% of the time. This doesn't happen when Thomas is the point, and it is why Thomas is better suited (as he started out this year) as their super 6th man, who at 5'9 destroys at will.

Lin as the starting PG on this team would be a great compliment to the (few... and I mean FEW) pieces already on that roster. Boogie would get his touches first and foremost, Lin would run PNRs with Boogie, and perhaps even Derrick Williams who can finish, while the wings would be McLemore & Rudy Gay. In an ideal situation, Gay & McLemore would not handle the ball as much as they have in the past... or things could get... ugly...

Utah: Lin would be great on this team, because they are terrible outside everybody not named Hayward, Burke and Favors (Maybe Kanter.) Burke is a blue chipper though, so in upcoming seasons, Lin's role would probably be somewhat obsolete unless he became a 6th man on this team.

That's it! Bring it on babiez. The reasons listed above is basically the lay of the land in the NBA, and why Lin should be (and is) realistically a 15-20th ranked PG.

we all knows that he is utilized wrong. But guess what put him on the Heat team and he will be doing the same thing. When Melo came back off of injury guess what happened, the Knicks had him giving the rock to Melo.

Put Chalmers or Felton on this Rockets team and they will be doing the sane thing both Lin and Beverly are doing. Role players plays the part that they are giving.

when he should be getting better, developing, he isn't.

He finishes 38% of his shots at the rim
    He's hitting 31% from midrange
of the 35% of the 3s he hits opposing teams are basically willing him to shoot the ball

he has not developed his game at ALL despite being a professional player for the better part of his life. He's shown no development, regressed infact, and he's the same flash no fire player who can't score worth a lick.

Martin is best suited as an off the ball player, Kevin Love is a bonafide stretch four (difference guarding Lin and not Rubio off the pick given he can actually drive and finish).

    Using the stupid SportsVu stuff;

Lin has a FG of 54.5% on drives, Rubio has 40.7%,

but wait, Rubio drives to set up teammates, Lin drives to jump and throw the ball away

Team PPG on their respective drives are

8.8 for Lin, 7.9 for Rubio

MPG is 31.8 for Rubio, 30.7 for Lin

Now ofcourse these are just numbers, take them with a grain of salt, but it would be a vastly different dynamic for the Wolves if they had a PG that could actually make a layup.
