Yes dude they did Mysterio wrong imo. I know they wanted Bryan, but Mysterio is my favorite wrestler and he didn't deserve to be put in that situation... hell just have Batista come out last just to rub it in more!
Epic fail and facepalm on WWE creative management. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/8vzKgD89oOE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/a1QCBF3h_tM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I'm still a wrestling fan. I'll just go watch Impact Wrestling, Ring of Honor, Mexican Lucha Libre, Japanese Puroresu, and other Independent promotions.
Yeah right, you'll keep watching. Just like all the Bryan marks will keep watching. This Rumble did wonders for Reigns, which is awesome. Other than that, it was terrible.
The Shield might actually break up now, but I still don't think Reigns will be pushed. Granted, he broke the record for eliminations in a single Rumble match, but tossing people over the top rope does not equal in-ring wrestling skill. I think Reigns will face Ambrose for the US belt, because of the shenanigans tonight in the ring.
This company is like other sports in that they think they can do what they want and fans will always come back. I've kinda been an on and off fan since the mid 90's. I stopped watching for a while and only started watching again after the pipebomb. I liked the in-ring product, I like wrestling in general. I'm not hard to please, I really want to like the product (unlike a lot of people who complain about everything, yet watch no matter what) But the WWE isn't the Astros,Rockets or Texans. My loyalty is by no means a guarantee.I'll watch RAW tomorrow, but if it goes like I expect it to, I'm done. To hell with this, even the lousy $10 a month for the network is more than I'm willing to contribute to this. I'm not going to let a company rub their nuts on my face and just be okay with it. Seriously who just tells their paying fans f**k you like they did tonight. I just wish more fans felt this way, maybe the company would be forced to actually put out a good product.
Reigns will get a push. It might suck to see Batista winning the Rumble and whatnot, but at least he's back full time for a few years rather than becoming another part time WM appearance wrestler.
He signed a two-year contract. He is going to be as close to full-time as possible, only taking some time to promote the movie he's in this summer.
Even still, the roster doesn't need to see another musclehead. Big E, Ryback, 2/3 Wyatts, Roman Reigns, Big Show, Lesnar. I mean, these guys all do the exact same thing - try to beat people down. We need more Kofi Kingston, D-Bry, Punk, Edge, John Morrison, Dolph Ziggler type guys.
Interesting. I assumed he'd be done once the movie was over. I kinda wonder if tonight's reaction will change anything.
We'll see how the story plays out, whether they are setting things up for a payoff later or just truly crapping on Bryan. Also, are they going to use the heat generated by the match to give us heel Batista? He may be the most hated wrestler on the internet now. Doesn't make for an enjoyable show for sure, though.
It's truly amazing to me how much faith WWE is willing to show in its live audiences at certain times, while completely botching it at others. When they first started the Daniel Bryan push at the buildup to Summerslam, when Cena was allowed to pick his opponent, they had to rely on the live crowd to chant for DBD, to pick him over everyone, heels and faces alike. It could have absolutely blown up in their faces if the pop wasn't there, and instead it became a moment they could have sold a PPV on. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Qlxl8FoNRRY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> If they had only trusted Pittsburgh to have reacted this way, they could have easily brought out Bad News Barrett at #30, who delivers the "I've got some bad news...Daniel Bryan is not going to Wrestlemania, but I am!" promo that would draw incredible heat, and they could probably have a decent program based on the Nexus history (if they booed Rey, imagine what Barrett would get for that). Or they could have brought in Sheamus at 30, which would again play into his history with Bryan, and help him go back to being a heel. Instead, they went with a Rumble that was clearly written and booked with the idea that Bryan would still be working as a Wyatt; my personal fantasy booking would have been to have the 4 Wyatts and the Shield all in the ring at the same time before Batista hits the ring as the sole babyface in peril, but the two factions ignore him and start in-fighting; you then get a final 3 of Bray, Reigns and Batista, with Bray knocking out the crowd favorite Reigns and Batista getting the Wrestlemania spot by being the winner. You can then book Bryan and Bray as 2 of the 6 entrants into the EC, with the winner getting a triple-threat spot at WMXXX in the championship match. Bryan and Bray are the final two after working together, Bray motions for Bryan to take Sister Abigail, and then basically repeat the RAW ending, only this time, Bryan gets revenge on his rival, as well as what started the whole storyline, a chance at the championship once again. I'm also incredibly sad that they didn't at least tease a Cesaro Giant Swing to El Torito; I don't actually want it until the Raw after Wrestlemania, when Cesaro goes for 200, gets too dizzy and loses a match, gets dumped by Zeb/Swagger, and starts his babyface turn. It's really too bad that Batista has to work as a face because of the Guardians of the Galaxy; if they were willing to turn him heel, embrace the boos and powerbomb the crap out of Daniel Bryan at EC, we'd look back at this Rumble as being a huge success, accomplishing a double turn with Batista/Reigns, elevating Bray to a program with Cena, and pretty much guaranteeing that Daniel Bryan gets the title by Summerslam, and gets to keep it this time.
I'll just assume the reason Bryan didn't participate in the Rumble was because he was hurt or had a concussion after his match. I mean didnt he have one after Raw? And he did take quite a beating by Bray.
