His point is valid. Maybe you stop focusing too much on commercials.

Almost as insulting as comparing Reggie jackson to Bev!

My point is the entire article is based on a set of numbers that alone don't prove anything.

I can switch every mention of bev/lin in that article to jackson/westbrook and write it the same way. I just dont think it makes sense to say the choice of who to start is obvious and "not even close" based on numbers that suggest the Clippers are better off starting Collison and the Thunder better off with Reggie Jax.

But check out the Net rating stats, the same used by Clutch in the article!!
Switch it over to OKC and...
starting 4 + Reggie Jackson: net rating is 10.2
starting 4+ Russell Westbrook: net rating is -5.7!

And Westbrook was playing very well when he was on the floor.Pretty sure he had a triple double before departing for his latest surgery.

Man, it feels like you're hitting your head against a brick wall sometimes, doesn't it. Also, LOL at OKC going 'nowhere' without Westbrook. They've won 7 in a row and are back leading the west - and that's with some real quality wins against playoff teams. They are better with Westbrook (even though net rtg says no:p) but still very strong with Jax - and he's only improving.

But you're forgetting Bev's infectious hustle and energy, his shutdown D! Remember how Bev shut Reggie down in the playoffs last year?!

Cool, want to make a point? Westbrook's stats are what they are, he's as efficient as JR Smith and less efficient than Carmelo. Is he talented, sure, but you give almost any NBA player that many shots, and they will put up numbers, it's called volume scoring for a reason. Doesn't mean it's smart basketball.

The Rockets need Bev's 3 point shot to come back soon. Having only two reliable 3 pt shooters is not going to get the Rockets the floor spacing they want.

I seriously doubt the Rockets are relying on Bev's .348% 3pt shot.

Everybody not named Dwight/Asik/DMo/Smith needs to step it up from 3, if this is the system we're committed to. Season percentages are pretty sad:

    T. Jones - 28.6
    Harden - 32.1
    Bev - 32.8
    Lin - 33.0
    Garcia - 34.2
    Casspi - 35.9
    Parsons - 40.1

(I'm actually surprised Cisco's is as high as it is.) I'd still like to see us clear a roster spot for Troy Daniels, who is out-shooting everyone on the roster from 3 this season.

    Aaron Brooks - 41.3
They need to find some minutes for him.

Wow. Lin and Parsons really switched their percentages around. If I recall correctly first 10 games it was the other way around.

Lol. And you didn't include Howard. 40%. And I think Brooks is over 40%.

Most telling this year is Harden. His 3pt shooting % is way down. I think that has cost us more than a few wins this year.

Bev's at .328% 3 pt for this season.

He shot .375% 3pt shot last year, and even better in the preseason. I would guess this is closer to what the Rockets were banking on.

T.Jones should take about as many 3's as Dwight. What an uggo looking form.

Grrrrr... YES. He totally slipped my mind, given how we don't see him when Lin and Bev are both healthy. I keep saying it, but I fail to see how/why he doesn't get at least 10-15 minutes a game, just as a heat-check if nothing else.

The 3 pt. line is the same in the DLeague as it is in the NBA, yes?

You may have some kind of a point here - Bev's at over 36% for the season in wins and 26% in losses. He's also kinda generally trending kinda downward by month unfortunately-

    Oct - 33.3
    Nov - 36.6
    Dec - 25.8
    Jan - 30.8
