Heydude, I think it is #3. He just wants to play. I think he decided to get it out of the way to make sure he doesn't miss any basketball.

And most of the people want to trade him! Dunno why when a guy is that wanting to play C'Mon! I know there are other reasons but still.

Yeah, this confused me too. I guess the fiber-optic cable is really long. Either that or he has to keep his feet really close together during the surgery.

    Get well soon Cat.

I agree with many other sentiments here. I hope he rehabs & has his best Rockets season ever, but if somehow he ends up getting traded, I sure hope it's to an Eastern Conference team, 'cause I sure don't wanna be playing against him 4 times a season. Classy player with heart. And game.

And my guess as to heyp's 3 suggestions, I think Cat simply wants to get healthy. What would you rather: walk around on a bum ankle or two ... or walk around on a healthy ankle or two? Get it done & move on.

    HeyDude's suggestion

    B-Bob, hehe
seriously though. I would have thought scoping ankles (especially to remove spurs), would put you on crutches for at least a little while. I guess he's headed for a wheelchair for a week???

My bad. Guess that's what I get for not quoting. Yeah, what can one do for fun when you can't even stand on one leg? Oh, the possibilities ...

    heyp,

should get the input from someone medically minded around here. even if scoping ankles is somehow less stressful to the tissue than scoping knees (due to easier access), I've seen what it takes people to recover from anything involving spurs, and they can't bear weight at first. So I'd seriously guess wheelchair. Ouch. That'd give him the defensive capabilities of... a Dallas Maverick!

seems he will be needed badly then too. Since Yao and stevie tend to be so inconsistant.

Nah, I think the medicos have agreed that he'll be taking some pills instead...

*Despite all my anti-Mobley sentiments, I hope his surgery's successful and he'll be back to 100% before the season starts.

    Trade idea:
    Houston trades:
    Mobley's two healthy ankles

    Houston Receives:
    More Mobley passes

    TRADE ACCEPTED

    A good backup?!?

We already have Juaquin Hawkins and James Posey!

It's just Mobley wants to play the entire game....

    Coach should sit him down.

    Moochie should be playing less.

We need someone to run the offense. ;)

It's too bad. I guess we all realize he's going to have to go. It's not that he's a bad player. We woud just benefit from trading him more than we would by keeping him. Besides, I think he wants out too. I think he wants more of the spotlight.

    Good Luck Cat.
