Not necessarily, the 1st two meetings against the Grizz it was a hard fought ugly grind out game. We win both times.

Maybe Lin can be traded soon to a team who needs him. Lin is a starting PG but he is nothing special. A primary offensive player who likes to drive the ball and hit the occasional three. Scoring is very inconsistent. Passing is good but turns the ball over quit a bit (some are very risky and cool). He cost to much to bring off the bench to give you secondary scoring. Bev doesn't cost much. He has his bad offensive nights, but brings his hustle and defense every game. He does his job every night. His scoring is just the icing on the cake.

Looks like Lin is just going with the flow. His last comment " whatever happens happens"

He's also been skipping post game interviews....that's not like him.

Not a good sign. I always admired how he excepted the sixth man role. Guess he doesn't.

He went with the hot hand.

Nothing wrong with that play call.

    Memphis just played good defense.

I agree that Chandler should be getting the last shot. I disagree that it was the best way to get him the ball. Harden, Lin, even Brooks to create or draw a double off a PnR is a better option. Chandler doesn't play primary handler and create shots for himself enough to put him in that situation.

And yes, the Grizz did D that sequence up very well. I hate them so much. :p

He's going to get fired eventually, if not, then coaching will prevent the rockets from getting a championship even if they had lebron on the team.

The hot hand was being fed the ball not being the primary ball handler. One of the guards should've tried to penetrate and if nothing was there, kick it out to Chandler. We were only down 1, we didn't need a 3.

I know Harden was off all game but we have to go to him when closing out the game.

I know Parsons had the hot hand but he can't create his own shot at will or set up someone else the way James can.

Two plays in the row at the end we went away from Harden.

Bad play calling by Kevin, IMO.

Houston emphasizes getting to the rim or shooting 3s (no mid-range Js)

My question to you is that how can you be consistent in shooting 3s?

Do you think Chandler Parsons will be consistent in 3 pt shooting? Every game he will have 7, 8, 9, 10 3 pointers?

Exactly, that is on the coaches for the dumb play call without a second or 3rd play option and with Bev on the floor at that point.

1st thing I said before I even realized how bad the coaches play call was. He was fouled on that play but I guess he'd have to jump into the defender to get that call smh. refs were almost as bad on us as Mcfail, made us play 5 vs 9. That play they called a foul on Harden when he was fouled n complained was horrible too

This! What kind of coach lays it all on the line on 1 play with no 2nd or even 3rd options?

This is just like the Kubiak situation just a different sport, the coach has got to go, he's got to go!!!

There is no "in fairness to Lin" or any of our other point guards... We do not have a starting caliber point guard on a championship quality team. We talk about needing a PF but we need a point guard.

We need a PF more for when things slow down in the playoffs, James plays PG more than anyone & Lin can get the job done of he knows the offense is going to run through him going into the game

Really like what you say here. In fact the beginnings of Linsanity happened when Lin just decided to go for broke, figuring he had nothing to lose and that his NBA career might be over if he didn't make it work with the Knicks. He needs to regain some of that go-for-broke motivation.

I think this is also true. Really good comments here. I would rep you but I apparently gave you rep recently so have to 'spread it around' first. But I think your comments are spot on.

    again, this, x2

Right, and if he goes to Harden or Lin and it fails all the posts would be how Harden and Lin had poor games and how the last play was predictable and that Parson had been hot. It is a no win situation.

Until the Rockets can lock down teams for key possessions like the Spurs, Heat, Pacers and Thunder, they will be .500 in tied or close games.

I will be the last to call McHale Popovich or Carlisle or Larry Brown on final possessions but the last play is not the real issue.

The Rockets lack a defensive identity, they do not play physical teams well, they lack a back up center, a starting point guard and a bench. It is to be expected. When you gut a team to acquire assets to get Harden and Howard, you will have holes that will take time to fill.

Another thing, hit a god damn free throw. Getting to the line doesn't mean much if you miss them. I expect it from Howard, but Jones and DMo and Harden and Parsons and Lin all have missed key free throws (plural) down the stretch this season.

The advanced statistics have the Rockets with 2 more wins at this point than they should have...

This is not a championship quality team. We lose to scrubs all the time. Everyone on this team seems to be inconsistent except for Parsons.
