Patrick was horrible offensively tonight. He couldn't buy a basket. On the defensive side, I thought he played well. He got the raw end of a bunch of calls. He plays solid, physical defense but the offensive player gets bailed out on a ticky-tack calls. Jeremy is probably the most inconsistent player on this team. He had a couple of nice drives. Apart from that, though, he would drive into the paint, pick up his dribble, and begin panic mode. Unless he's getting open layups, he's a horrible decision-maker in the paint. He does this more than any player I've ever watched. Bottom line: Neither guy was very good. Hell, the whole team was pretty mediocre to bad. Even Parsons, who went insane on 3s, routinely lost his man on defense leading to easy buckets. The lack of overall intensity (along with the bad play call at the end of game) is something I place on McHale. I'm not one to blame the coach often, but it's his job to get his team ready and to put them in situations where they can succeed. He didn't do that tonight.
I guess I'm kinda glad I missed this game. It seems like a disaster occurred, and everyone is trying to blame the role players for the loss.
We should have played Brooks. We're going to depend on outside shooting against teams like Memphis. Probably too random to be playing different point guards on a game to game basis though.
Show me a post where I "run my mouth" about Lin? I'm willing to bet it's in response to some irrational comment by one of you or your buds. Sounds like you're the one running your mouth, buddy.
Bev killed our momentum twice in the 4th quarter by taking bad 3 pt shots, and missing both. I don't want Bev taking outside shots unless he is completely wide open or the shot clock is running down. We have too many offensive weapons for Bev to be taking important shots.
Those other offensive weapons (everyone outside of Bev and Parsons) shot a whopping 39% from the field. This is the definition of a team loss. Everyone made crucial mistakes throughout the contest, players and coaches alike.
Lin played well but hes not gonna get any shots at the end of the game... Neither will Bev and bev is a better defender so it makes sense leaving Bev at the end. But yeah, it sucks for lin cuz he definitely doesnt get the right treatments from mchale
You are in serious in need of help if you continue believing on the forum blogs by the Admin. What kind of drug are you taking?
I am a Lin fan and I had no problem with Bev finishing the game. He was huge at the defensive end, especially with that crucial charge. The main, and the only, problem with the game is Mchale.
Who cares about his join date? He's a Lin fan, burn him!!! Witch hunts are always lots of fun until people start wondering if you float.
Bev is a bit overrated in my opinion. Besides Lee, Conley was the offensive star for Memphis with 14 points on +50% shooting, and got by Bev numerous times during the game. Bev had five fouls, only 2 assists and shot 1 for 11. The charge he took at the end of the game was actually a blocking foul, as he was moving. On offensive last possessions, McHale may want to put Brooks in instead of Bev.
Yes, but 10 times out of 10 I want Harden to shoot over Bev when they are having equally bad shooting nights - cuz one guy has a whole lotta talent. I get that Bev is confident, but know when you are shooting .09% from the field and let someone, ANYONE else shoot it.
We need defensive specialist at PF who can play defend both post and perimeter. PGs should be looking to push the ball and getting others involved. It's unfair for your PGs to be defensive specialist. This is NBA, no guards will ever shut down opponent guards. It's impossible with PnR and speed of NBA caliber PGs. It only works for Heat, because they have LBJ. He's once in a generation talent. You can't expect to duplicate that with our roster...
Ohh it's very clear. 2-9 last game 1-11 this game with 2 assist in 35mins. This is the missing key to our championship ring.
