LeBron James and Kevin Durant are the two leading candidates for MVP.

James knew Durant's statistics from Tuesday's game and recited them verbatim to the media after a win by the Miami Heat over the Boston Celtics.

"I got a KD watch on my phone," James said.

Speculation on my part, but do you guys think that Free Agent Lebron would consider trying to form a potential tandem with KD?

He wants to see KD's stats because it motivates him to play just as well, if not better.

There is no chance that LeBron will team up with KD. OKC couldn't afford Harden...how could they afford LeBron?

When the leagues best player cares more about stats than winning, its no wonder why they are #5 overall in a conference that has 2/3 of the teams with a losing record.

Lebron needs to either come out and put on a monster performance (50+ points) or he needs to stop talking about KD's current run.

Don't they play the same position?

Durant will win both MVP and MVP all-star game this year, book it.

And if these two teamed up in OKC or Cleveland (where I'm sure Lebron will return when his contract is up), they could fill the roster with d-leaguers and still win back to back championships.

    Yes they would

Dude if lebron wants to join okc to play with kd okc will do whatever they need to, to make room for him. They would make it affordable. I do agree though he checks the stats to motivate him. But like I said if lebron wants to join a certain team that team will make it happen. I have no doubt that okc will sell off Westbrook, Perkins and if they really have to then also ibaka to pair lebron with kd.

    They do

These two guys can play multiple positions. Kd can probably play at a elite level if you stick him at sg, sf, pf. Lebron can play pg,sg,sf,pf.

Lol are you kidding me? Miamis played in 3 straight finals. I think Lebron is just coasting.

10-2 vs the west. For comparison, OKC is 11-2 vs. the east. and IND is 11-3 vs the west

They are coasting and have had to deal with injuries to Wade and Chalmers.

No big deal, other players do it and they don't admit it. Hell we all do it and we don't play in the NBA.

One comment to the people that say that KD and Lebron play the same position. Thoset two are the most versatile players since Magic Johnson. Lebron can even play center because he is so strong, KD not as much. Either way, they are both ridiculous. Lebron physically imposes himself on the game and KD is the model of efficiency. As a guy who grew up watching Bird, Magic, Jordan, Hakeem, etc. It is a true pleasure watching KD and Lebron in this generation. If I can't see the Rockets in the finals, I really hope I can see these two duke in out in the finals.

Coasting doesn't win championships. When Miami doesn't make it to the finals this year, I am sure Lebron will have plenty of excuses.

    You can't be serious....

They just won back to back titles with LeBron being the MVP and you're questioning their will to win????

    Dumb post of the year.

Durant is a great player but I'm not sure there is another player in the league that values his stats as much.

Big whoop, Jordan used to have his stats read to him before every game.

Seems like Wade's health is a key factor in if the Heat can make a legitimate shot at making the NBA finals. If the Heat lose, I have a feeling Lebron is going to have a "reason" to test the market. I think the Rockets have a better chance to sign Lebron than the Thunder do.

I think its pretty funny that someone actually wrote an article about Lebron trying to find any motivation to make himself better. If Lebron is actually having someone send him Durant's stat line, that's unreasonably lazy. Then again if you've got the money, why waste the time and effort?
