Ride my bike for hours. The Rothko chapel in Houston is pretty low key, no matter what your religion is:

Just examine the paintings and you can lose yourself in them.

damn, I wish I still had Counter Strike. We used to lag the school server from playing it. Games with like 36 guys at once. So much fun.

Same here. I have a big yard so thats a good 3-4 hours worth of decompressing. Plus, I work in our flower beds alot. Theraputic I must say.

I also work on my car or do house projects (painting, building furniture, etc.).

Of course, my wife harps on me about not relieving my stress by talking to her about my problems. Hmmmmmmmmm.........

Oh and like Madmax, I find good Jazz helps one to relax also (Madmax, check out Paul Hardcastle if you like good jazz).

I can't believe nobody's said... go shoot hoops in your driveway. Nothing makes you feel better than doing the dreamshake against an imaginary opponent and sinking the baseline J in the imaginary last seconds of the imaginary 4th quarter in the imaginary 7th game.

seriously, coma, you've got another vote for this one. when I lived in houston, i would do this about once per week. it's a non-denominational chapel, open to the public. it's usually empty and it's the most serene of spaces.

I find a hard, heavy metal concert. Band doesn't really matter. In fact if it is a band you don't really care about, it often helps. It also helps for it to be a generally ****ty band so the tickets are cheap. Then I go crazy for the entire concert. It's one of the few places where it is pretty much accepted for people to be nuts, and it doesn't really bother anyone. Plus, at these shows, if you accidentally hurt someone, they usually think you are cool because of it.

It sounds demented, but I agree with rockHEAD. I like to play Grand Theft Auto 3, cheat like a mofo, and kill every pedestrian, cop, army guy, thug, and FBI agent that gets in my way (with every weapon imaginable). Very helpful for stress. Either that, or listen to classical music in bed with the lights off...

    3 things...

Pray...works about 100% of the time.

    Music...just sit back and listen.

Shoot hoops...more when I'm mad or frustrated at something.

And it always helps to have someone that is a good listener and good friend to talk to about things.

If you're stressed, it's best to find a quiet place and take a nap, or at least rest your eyes and think of someplace relaxing. Like imagine a Rockets team that passes the ball around like Sacramento.

Otherwise, you can always pray and turn to God in a quiet place.

I love to write when I get stressed...It gets alot off my mind and I'm able to release all my tension through words and rhymes, opposed to fists and guns

Play Dungeons and Dragons. Seriously. I am never stressed on the weekends because I am always playing it and it gives me something to look forward to during the week.
