Actually I smiled for Bev after watching that clip. He went through a lot to get where he is, and it's always nice to see a positive relationship between a coach and players on a Basketball team, but I admit it is tough to be a LOF now.

Lin is in a slump right now. Parson was in a slump earlier in the season too( he was illergic to 3's). Lin will bounce back hopefully.

How did he McFail? The Rockets had a better winning record and Lin averaged more points and assists than Beverley with fewer minutes.

    Please enlighten me.

Sure Lin will bounce back with a good game here and there, but don't you realize the coach's attitude toward Lin is just a reflection of the collective view on Lin by the biggest stars on this team? Unfortunately those feed to Howard from Lin were not good enough and Lin took too many shots when Harden is on the court.

Lin won't have the same amount of training/play time with the first unit. I really want to see Rockets trade him now when he has some value instead of cutting him at the end of the season.

I hear you, but that is not likely to happen.
Yao Ming had the same problems until he learned how to move his feet.
He started altering shots, and the refs stopped fouling him.
Yao's lateral movement was better than D-Mo's, which made things a bit easier for him IMO.
I do feel that D-Mo can learn to avoid these types of fouls by practising with ironically the man whom he has replaced for the most part, Omer Asik.

I hope Omer will give him some tips to work on.

Ask McHale. He McFailed him. Or, he would have started last night. lol

It's all about the defensive presence. Bev has it...Lin doesn't.

I think D-Mo has a hidden talent. He's got quick foot movements for a big guy. Just needs to stay out of foul trouble.

As I know that bump in P&R defense (when he bumps into ball-handler) is legal in Europe. But it's a foul in NBA, he should get use to it in time.

+/- is a situational team statistic, and it is a perfectly valid stat to describe what happened in a game. Prediction is another matter.

Actually, Beverley having 3 assists is a sign of something good. It's a plus, not a negative. Why? Because it is indicative of our offense clicking the way it is supposed to. We were passing around to the open man. We were making crisp passes, hard cuts, and hitting our shots. Proof? Simply look at the box score, if you didn't see the game, and don't make assumptions. Parsons had 7 assists. Howard had 3. Harden had 5. Donuts had 2, Casspi had 2, and Jeremy had 5. Every player who saw any significant time had 2 or more assists. My guess is that you didn't see the game and are looking at the box score. Had you seen the game, the box score would have made perfect sense.

Just noticed we aren't that far behind the Clips, y'all. Granted they have a really easy schedule coming up, but still.

    You are right.

And listen to what McHale said after the game: Beverly plays hard without agenda. (hint: somebody else plays with an agenda. ) What agenda that could be? Win coach McHale's love? In this sense, LinFailed.

You can tell Bev is his favorite PG. Lin is in a tough situation. Wish him all the luck.

Maybe he should be aware that Dmo and Brewer shoot a combined 18% from 3.
