Has anyone been watching this? It generally comes on late Sunday nights on HBO, but it is a show with this British guy who dresses up like a gangsta and, for the most part, just interviews various people who are trying to be serious and make a point, and he does nothing but ask stupid questions. He plays a complete idiot, and the interviewees never figure it out. He also does a few characters, Borat being my favorite. I highly suggest everyone check it out. For an example for those who haven't seen it, here is an example from one of his interviews. He was talking to a DEA agent about drugs. Ali G: "So, would it ever be okay to give drugs to an animal?" DEA Agent: "No, certainly not." Ali G: "Even if they looked really sad?"
I'm always behind on HBO because I have to wait for their shows to come to DVD...I think that's the first thing I'll be getting if I get a raise with my transfer...
That show is a joy to watch. I stumbled upon it a few weeks ago, and now I'm hooked. Too bad it's only a half-hour show.
Man there was another thread by DaDakota I think, the show is awesome. I think there has been 6 episodes so far, extremely funny show, I haven't missed one yet. There are clips and stuff at this site http://www.hbo.com/alig/
These are the same episodes of the 11 O'Clock show from 2000. I remember watching them when I was in London that summer.
He has a really funny movie too called ali g in da house. It is brilliant. I think his stuff from britain is funnier, its basically the same but he gets better responses from the people he interviews. he is best in his interview of Becks and posh spice
