What about all the times Webber was able to catch it down low, turn around and dunk it, with no effort over KT? KT didn't contain him at all. heypee, don't you go crazy on Cato for jumping early, on blocks, and even though he'll get some blocks, I'm almost sure you've said Cato doesn't have good defense. Is this not another case of a couple of blocks does not translate into good defense? Why can't we just get Lafrentz and be done with it? ------------------ The Serious Police are watching. Webber is a monster. I saw Kenny look back at his teammates after a few of Webber's baskets and his expression told you that "Webber is damn good, I cant play D better than that" Kenny played great D on webber even if Cwebb got 37. He was just hitting shots.I think Kenny is a steal from last years draft. I love his game and his work ethic. He is a steal at the 22nd pick. AS far as him vs Fizer, no contest. FIZER SUCKS! Just ask Bulls fans and they will tell you the same thing, they want to trade his ass ASAP. Kenny has better post up moves than this guy and is a better defender/rebounder. I've watched most of the bulls games this year, and yes it hurt me to watch, and Fizer has been horrible. Just look at his numbers. ------------------ www.truebballfansite.homestead.com
How is Rudy T suppose to get him more than 20 minutes when he can't stay out of foul trouble? Oh and BTW CWebb was most damaging in the 3rd period when Mo was on the floor. KT is never going to be a dominant PF but there is no question he plays better defense than Mo! One other point Mo averages 26 minutes a game not 20 and he only averages 3.8 boards a game. Come on he should accedentaly get 6 or 7 boards a game just based on his height. Mo Taylor is a disgrace! Now for the comparison: Minutes per game Mo 26.4 Kenny 23.2 Rebounds per game Mo 3.7 Kenny 4.7 Assists per game Mo 1.1 Kenny 1.3 Steals per game Mo .22 Kenny .69 Blocks per game Mo .56 Kenny .69 Points per game Mo 9.9 Kenny 6.9 Mo Taylor gets more minutes than Kenny Thomas and is not as productive. More over KT at least challanges shots and makes the occasional stop. Mo could not stop my neice from having a career night. MO SUCKS! ------------------
Crash Are those numbers accurate??? Goodness. . . Now I know why I like KT much better than MO Let's lok at C-Webb 29 against the Blazers. . OH isn't 'Sheed on ya'll wish list? 29 @ 23against Bulls. . who was Co Roy last year??? 30 against the Spurs. . . Isn't Duncan the best in the league???? So 37 against KT is not all that considering you guys say he cannot be mentioned in the same breath as FIZER [did I mention 29 and 23 ] Rocket River ------------------
I could give your neice her career night, and Mo couldn't stop me. [This message has been edited by heypartner (edited December 09, 2000).]
uh oh...you are claiming heypocrasy now. if it wasn't for tacoma stepping in the middle to soothe me...I was going to have to exclamate on your ass!!! I guess my gene peterson fun from last night is over...eh guys.!!! ----------------- but now I have to get serious with mmanal here since he went beyond claiming heypocrasy and said I'm "blatantly wrong". Hey mmanal...what? you think I'm making this up. Others can't have draft sources, too? It is not wrong for me to compare Fizer to Thomas, not when my mentor and his retired scouting buddies in Ames, Iowa made that same comparison over and over. You keep up with college hoops and stats more than I do. But, I've got more info on Fizer than you do. Fizer will do little in the NBA, because he IS little!!! Stop the damn Barkley comparisons. We would already know by now if that were the case...you wouldn't be able to keep him off the boards. Oh, and poor DaDakota is stuck claiming a 'sure thing' superstar "stud". I'm glad I never said that! draftsource.net and dadakota are right a lot, and it is very hard to call college talent translating to the nba. nobody can be right all the time. but, you shouldn't cling to fizer. ------------------ "I'm not going to censor myself or my opinions because some are sensitive...fire away!" --Jeff 12/7/00 [This message has been edited by heypartner (edited December 09, 2000).]
ok, well we'll just wait and see on Fizer; we'll agree to disagree for now. If Im wrong on this guy after he gets to play in the league for a few yrs, I'll come clean and admit it, but I think he has a really good NBA future, considerably better than KT. We'll just wait and see. ------------------ Check out the Best Source for Draft Info Draftsource.net [This message has been edited by MManal (edited December 09, 2000).]
I still like Fizer, and am convinced he will make it the NBA. As for KT, I love him too.....In fact, I think they are a lot alike, my only issue is that Rudy keeps starting MO, when it is clear that KT is a better player right now. Especially if you consider effort. HP...I am not sometimes right...I am ALWAYS right. NOT ! DaDakota ------------------ If Mankind evolved from Monkeys and Apes, then why are there still Monkeys and apes?
all i got to say is look at tonights box score.. and if u go by stats only you dont know too much about bball..i can tell from watching the games that mo is better and more talented than kt and tonight proved it. If memory serves me correct kt fouled out with 7 min left with 11 points.. i like kt but he a bench spark plug kind of player. Mo talked with rudy and it showed, i think we will see the real mo from now on and this debate will end rather quickly. ------------------ How Sweet It Is! How Sweet It Is! I don't like doggin someone after having a good game but 20 pts and 7 rebounds should be Mo's avg not his game of the season. At 6'9" it should be rare that he ever gets less than 7 boards. For now I will step back, but if he stinks it up against Vancover and Golden State then you had better be prepared to hear a Mo intense and Mo dedicated Mo Basher! ------------------
I'm dying to ask you heypee, what'd you think of that blocked shot by Baker on Kenny Thomas? With the high shooting percentages on both sides, 7 boards is very acceptable for Mo. 6 were defensive which is a good enough number for me. Mo also attempted his first 3 pointer of the year-a shot at the end of the shot clock that he was forced to take. Kenny could take a page out of that book. I've said it all season that Mo is a player who is a "starter". He's not an instant offense type, he has to heat up over time, and he wasn't getting any continuity. Also notice the big difference with Mo was his agressiveness. He was able to get to the free throw line 9 times. Compare that to his average over the first 18 games of 1.5 FTs per game. Name the Rockets PF who fouled out in under 20 minutes with only 2 rebounds. For once it wasn't Mo Taylor. Oh all right, I'll lay off KT, it was a pretty successful PF punch- Combined for 31 boints and 9 boards in a little over 50 minutes. Not too much difference between that and a guy like CWebb averaging 25-10 in 40 minutes, other than the defense factor. ------------------ The Serious Police are watching. NIKE, you know there is such thing as liking both Mo and Kenny. Funny how if I say I like Kenny, many posters polarize me to be a Mo basher. Take a side everyone...you are not allowed to like the incumbent and the challenger. That's waffling. We must take sides and argue them vehemently! btw, Nike, tell me where I bashed Mo, ever. The worst I've said is he is soft. Go watch a college game. ------------------ "I'm not going to censor myself or my opinions because some are sensitive...fire away!" --Jeff 12/7/00
And the worst I've ever said of KT is that he's too short to be a starting caliber PF and has a bad FG%. ------------------ The Serious Police are watching. Follow the rules or be assimilated. Shandon is underrated. [This message has been edited by NIKEstrad (edited December 10, 2000).]
