The schedule for the next season

Do you know when will the season start and How can I get the schedule?

Sorry to bother you guys this early but I am planning a bussiness trip to Houston in Oct and I really wish I can go watch a game while I am there.

Last season I had no chance to go watch a game at all.

    :(

I know but I have to make my bussiness trip plan this month. :(
Guess I have to just make the plan and hope that there will be a game while I am there. :(

I have checked both NBA and the rocket site. I think it is too early for any schedule. sigh....

REname this thread, then I think you will get more hits and maybe someone will answer you.

When I read this title "Next Season" I thought it was just going to be another waste of my time season prediction/complaint. Though I am really bored so i clicked on it.

Like I said, change it to what you are looking for.

Could you please advise me how to change the title? The edit option did not work.

Thats probably a good thing. You would have just left the arena all pissed off and disappointed and wondering why you just wasted money watching the Rockets play as if they were some junior high team.

i went to two games last year and the rockets lost both. i would have been pissed off if i paid for my tickets. they were right behind the opposing teams bench-jermaine o'neal is huge!!!

anyway, since nobody will give you a straight-up answer i will try...

i dont think that the season starts till october 30 or 31 so if you are comming in october you might have to settle for a preseason game, but they are usually in such out of the way places as little rock or las cruces. i thought that next season's schedule was finalized a few months ago, but if you can not find it on the rockets web site than maybe it has not been officially released yet. good luck!

The schedueles will be released just before or just after the Finals. The season will begin right at the end of October. Since the Rockets didn't have a season/home opener last year, they probably will this year. Plan your trip to make sure you're in Htown for the very end of October and hopefully you'll catch Steve and Yao win our first game next year in the beautiful new arena.

Thank you Htownrock3 and jo mama. :)
I will try to plan my trip near end of Oct, I do not know if I will be allowed to be that late, though. :(

    Oh! well!

Will they have a preseason game in the new arena?
If I cannot catch the regular season game at least may be I can have a chance to watch a game in the new arena?

That's tough to say. They didn't have many preseason games in the Compaq Center... My guess is that they won't because they want to have this big opening night for the home opener of the season... man oh man.. that roof is going to collapse in. I'm going to be there sitting as close as my ass can get and cheering my heart out for us. Where are you traveling to Houston from?

I live in the King of all middle-of-no-wheres... as I posted in the BBS Hangout, this town has 8 stop signs, 2 stop lights, and a drug store. Im in NC and Houston is like a dream.

But you should try to catch a Rockets game out while you're there.

correct you are. i also saw them last year and that is the game they lost. i got them mixed up. can you believe that in the last two years the games i have seen have been the pacers twice and the clippers twice. 3 of 4 for free though, so i shouldnt complain! the clippers game i went to this year was one we lost and it was so freaking boring-the worst game i ever went to.

I've been to 5 games total. 2 last year ( Suns, Dec. 26th 2001) and the Bulls (March 16th, 2002) That Bulls game is the one Jalen Rose won in the 2nd overtime at the end of the first overtime, I say that because he shot the ball 1 second after it had reached 00 on the clock. Me and my girlfriend went out to her car with 1 second left in the game, we were up by 2 and Kenny Thomas was shooting 1 free throw. Got into the car, turned on the post game show, and the game was still on!

This year, I went to 3 games. 12/27/02 against the Knicks (got my Moochie celeb-duck!) The 1/04/03 against the Warriors and then my most recent 3/16/03 against the Suns (retro shirts, one of the best games this season) But out of all 5, our record out of those is 1-4

    Go figure...
