Guys, we need to prepare ourselves to be embarrassed on TNT yet again.

 

Lamarcus Aldridge and Lillard must be motivated to prove they deserve to be All-Stars, more than Howard and Harden.

 

Wait! That could be really important IMHO:

I couldn't believe my own eyes, but this thing is consistent as hell! Hear this out please.

Looking at the lineup stats from our last game against the Blazers in Dec 12 (we lost 111-104) -
The data from NBA Stats

You can see we had 10 different lineups.

★ ALL the 3 lineups with a "real" 4 (Jones) were losing grounds and trailing! (Every single one of them!).
In total that was -26 in 28.5 minutes.

★ ALL the 6 lineups with small-ball / stretch 4 were winning and creating a lead for us!! (Every single one, either with Parsons or Casspi as 4, even lineups that played for less than a minute!).
In total that was +19 in 19.5 minutes.

Was this our way to contain LMA (Casspi on him at the 4)?
Sounds imposdible and counter to any logic, but...

I know Jones is unbelievably good right now,
but we really have to at least try this out for substantial minutes!

 

Our boys in red need to bring them back to reality then.

 

Rockets coaching staff is just not good enough for getting into the finals

 

Didn't Pat Bev return from an injury against the Blazers earlier this season and we won?

The rockets will never find that third player, because it is always when the guy is traded then they find out "my got that dude can play",Rudy gay, Lowry.

It will have to be done by committee. Jones, Casspi and Dwight will have to take turns to guard him.

 

We had X on Lopez and Dwight on Aldridge, in the first game a lot of that though was that Dwight got an easy run early with Asik on LMA.

It's not like we should think about the good of the team.

With the exception of the Spurs game, Harden has been VERY average on National TV this year.

 

For the 2nd year in a row, we are going to see Rockets/Blazers at Toyota Center. Hopefully Harden and LMA put on a big show again with the good guys coming out on top.

Maybe the Blazers used up all their bullets in Dallas Saturday.

 

Aldridge and Lillard are boring.

 

Perhaps you could drop the sarcasm/defensiveness and accept that people might simply disagree with you about what's best.

To be clear, I personally think anything other than Asik on LMA is going to be fairly ineffective. Neither Jones nor Casspi typically fare well when they are outsized.

Beverley is going to make a difference on defense that will tip the game in the rockets favor.

I've been hoping this all season long and it hasnt happened yet but ive got a funny feeling this is the game Bev can prove he is a worthy starter in the NBA.
