He did okay tonight. I am not sure whats with the narrative that he played like garbage today. He got 7 points 4 assists in what, 22 minutes of game time? That's decent numbers, not overwhelming but not underwhelming either. Maybe I am misreading your post here, and you meant his recent play? I think that's just a function of the schedule. Look at the schedule for the past few weeks. Its been pretty brutal.
Its really funny how many people are full of the stupids. Specifically those hating on Lin and demanding a better PG. It wouldn't be such an issue if Lin was actually playing the PG role. But the truth is, aside from a number of games that you can count on one hand, Lin isn't being used as the PG, with the duties being given to Harden. So much stupids and biased all collected in one board. At first, it was sad, now its just hilarious... ie "Lin sucks! We need a better PG!!! bench his ass and trade that scrub!"... Then you go and watch the game and see that Harden was doing the PG duties... lol!!! so many stupid morons running around and running their stupid mouths showing how stupid they are! Its priceless! I hope this goes on and on and on so that I get to have my daily laugh by just reading through these stupid posts.
geez just against Boston everyone was on his dick for how cerebral he was, hes an INCONSISTENT PLAYER. he can get hot and take over a game but he also drifts/becomes unaggressive when his shot isn't falling. These are the up's and downs of it. Frankly dont get the 'hes a 4 year player hes capped' argument. hes played barely two seasons of NBA calibre opponents. What do you think is more important? standing in the warriors gym shooting 3s or actuallly going toe-to-toe in the NBA night in night out
I think I just saw this same post in the game thread: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=8621114&postcount=548 Do you really need to make the same post twice, calling people who have a different opinion than you "stupid"?
OMG! another stalker! lol! though admittedly, that mistake was on my own stupidity. I was viewing multiple topics and thought that I posted it on just this one and then I got an error so reposted not realizing it was on another thread As for the opinion thing, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But I suppose you didn't really get what I was saying.. for the benefit of making it clear, I'm singling out people who says this... "lin sucks and is a scrub! we need a better PG!! trade his ass!" but then, we see Harden doing the PG duties and Lin relegated to a spot up shooter role or even a SG role when coming of the bench. I don't really have any issues with people calling for a trade or benching lin as long as it makes sense. But stating that Lin sucks as a PG and clamming that the Rockets need a better PG when it is painfully obvious that Harden is the one handling the PG duties is just plain stupid and full of biased and these people warrant being called stupid..since thats what they are, stupid. I hope that clear things up. In summary 1. I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion 2. people who think Lin is a scrub PG when he isn't even playing the PG role and Harden is are deserving of being called stupid.
ive seen both Howard and Parsons sit out entire 4th quarters before, but off course they don't have delusional fans b****ing after every game
Dwight has been benched on multiple occasions. Furthermore, taking Dwight out of the game is not feasible in most games because he is the Rockets' most capable rebounder and post defender with Asik injured. Neither Harden nor Parsons have adequate replacements for what they are capable of.
He puts his head down, takes it straight to the hole, ends up dribbling in circles and jumping into the air for a bailout pass. It looks like taking it to the rim is only an afterthought these days. When before he would bulldoze and either draw contact or attempt a shot. When he's pumped he doesn't need an opening. He demands the ball and takes the initiative. But when he's got low confidence he only penetrates if there's a wide open path. And he dishes off without an effort to create a shot for himself or orchestrate the offense. Like I said before, he always has the opportunities, but if he only cashes in if his mind is right.
I don't remember the last time parsons sat out the whole 4th quarter. Mchale is playing harden and parsons to the ground
Short leash. Should've let him make 8 mistakes instead of 7 I think some people are only seeing what they want to see. Or they close their eyes and "La La La La La!" whenever he makes mistakes
That stretch of play was pretty bad. But there are other times he's been pulled for far less. The Blazers game on Nov 5th comes to mind because I happened to watch it on a Blazers feed, and remember the Blazers' announcers themselves noting with surprise that Lin was not coming back in in the 4th Quarter. (comments along the lines of ... Looks like Lin is not coming back in. Thought he played pretty well) There's a separate question about whether a short leash is warranted. But that Lin's been on a shorter leash IMHO is kind of indisputable.
All this excessive debating smh. Lin's in a slump right now. Hopefully he'll turn it around soon. But Tjones just had a career night, and he's been on a roll lately. We won, we get Bev back Monday, and there's two great games of football tomorrow. Can we just enjoy this and not engage in this pointless arguing? Kthanksbye
