Lin scored 6 points (2-8), had 2 assists and 1 block and only 1 turnover. That's way below his usual and he obviously had a really bad game. Funny thing is that if this had been Bev's line, people would've said it was par for course and he did just fine b/c he brought it on D. Well Lin defended Jackson just fine (Brooks gave up most of those points), so should we say that Lin did just fine? LOL

I don't think it will or should. We should be beating teams like the Bucks in our sleep. But if we want to prove that we are able to run with the big boys, we have to beat teams like OKC (especially w/o Westbrook) on our home court.

Man it's kinda depressing how good and bad the Rockets can be at the same time...

73 in the first half and 19 in the 2nd playing only 20 minutes later? It's gotta be in their heads but that's how the season has gone so far and that's why we are not contenders, too much up and DOWN.

Harden can't do it all by himself, Howard needs to step it up.

Actually i was just thinking the same thing. When Finch stands in and when Sampson's around at the 2nd man position, our style or identity changes.

I absolutely do not think that coaching is overrated, esp on a team of young stars.

Oh well. The net results on this road trip haven't been poor so i'm not complaining and we are pretty much on track to the record we envisioned.

Half a season left to make sure we tighten up the ship and out play whichever playoff opponent we have.

Otherwise, lets move east and be div champs there or something.

Absolutely. Sampson and McHale think/coach to similarly. And when everyone in the room thinks the same, nobody is there to come up with a different way to do things and it always ends in failure. Happened where I worked. All the upper mgt were all friends promoting one another and patting themselves on the back on how smart they were. Well things fell apart pretty quickly they made dumb decisions but nobody in that core management team saw it while everyone else outside the circle did and tried to tell them. Now, only 5 years later, none of those guys are even around anymore and the business is in the crapper.

Was there any reason not to even TRY having
Casspi on court for some minutes in 2nd half??

I mean - it's not like we were doing fine in there
    in the 3rd and 4th... (a super-understatement)
It would make sense to try ANYTHING, really...

And it's not like the 3-pointers were falling in
(We were 0/13 in 2nd half, and our PFs never
even attempted a 3 - even D-Mo, who was hot!)

And it's not like Casspi's shot has been cold
lately (Made 5 of his last 7 attempts from 3!)

And it's not like he was tired from the B-2-B
(He played only 7 min last game!)

And it's not like he was weak or made any
mistakes tonight. (Didn't even take a shot...
But ball movement was nice, as usual, and
we made our run in the 6 mins he played)

    Any ideas?

    I agree.

Love to see more D-Mo in regular season.
We'll certainly need big men come playoff.

I don't want to say never, but going from scoring 73 pts in one half of basketball to scoring 19 in the second half may never happen again. A -54 point differential from one half to the other is probably a record that will stand for a very long time. Wow, what a historic collapse.

    "as soon as they can?"

like while the game is going on, when it still matters???

how many times have teams choked our offense? and we still have no counters?

Durant on Harden. and he can't score? is he gay? since when did Durant become a shutdown defender?

I too think fatigue played a big part in tonights game.

If you look at the interviews,

    http://www.nba.com/rockets/video

they all look exhausted. Not sure if they are just exhausted exhausted,
or was just demoralised after the loss.

McHale's body language in his interview was pretty telling.
I dont think he made eye contact with anyone.

Said that "the ball got way too stagnant".

He didnt say what could be done about that though.

    My 2 cents worth.

    Better player time management.

The Spurs are a good example, I think.

They were riding the hot group hence they played AB, and DMo more.

Even Lin was out most of the game. He really didnt have much of a rhythm.

Houston, Houston! I hope everybody could see the light that the real culprit in this organization is Mr.sampson, the moment he cameback, Lin again back to his crib...warming the bench! The guy just hate Lin, this isnt conspiracy and we Jlin fans been seeing this on a daily basis...Parson is bricking shots in 1st half and committed lots of TO, yet he was able to get consistent playing time...AB on fire but as usual, he is a defense liability! You messed with LINs playing time, the result is a disgusting loss...The ego in this team so much i think...Everybody wants the spotlight, the moment these players step in the court, the first thing in their mind is to score and pad their stats...no teamwork and basically no specific job description for each player...everyone is playing PG!!! This organization is pretty obvious in marginalizing LIN, wish him out of this team!!!Look at his face, he is not happy anymore and frustrated...

This is his coaching style. Give me "pop" give me "energy" "play harder". Those are just words he's not coaching. It takes Mchale months to figure out what a average member on clutchfans see's months before. #figurehead
