ClutchFans Game Thread: Thunder @ Rockets 1/16/2014

At the half I thought to myself not to get to happy because the Rockets have given up so many big leads this year. Had no idea that they would find a way to only score 19 points in the second half. Absolutely no rhythm on offense in the second half. It seems with the exception of San Antonio the Rockets have built there record against mediocre to poor teams this season. They have been completely embarrassed by Indiana and now OKC twice. It's pretty obvious this team has a ways to go before they can compete with the elite teams in the league.

 

Harden scoreless in the 2nd half. You go as far as your best players take you. He did a good job of setting teammates up

 

Then you will lose games like tonight and the Atlanta game. You cannot play your starters 40 minutes every night. Likewise, you cannot rely on the bench. So what happens? Crap like this... Leads lost and inconsistent play.

Getting Bev back will help, but even then the bench still sucks. I am done with Asik. He fired his last agent after being told to play... As far I am concerned he isn't a Rocket and I wish him failure.

A guy like Dunleavy and Patterson added would literally add 5 wins or more.

 

This should be the game that gets McHale fired.

 

Wasn't it last year where JVG said McHale should or could be COTY?

It's not howard slowing down the team, it's the seven starting PGs.

One little bright spot tonight: D-MO! Hope he continues to get more chance to play and improve.

I bet you anything the one team the Spurs DON'T want to see in the playoffs are the Rockets.

I think most of us are too frustrated right now to realize just how terrible and nearly impossible is it to pull that off.

One basket had 18-of-30 3-pointers made on it. The other basket had 0-of-29 3-pointers made on it.

Maybe it's the basket?

 

Inside the NBA will blame Howard and Harden but this is so on Mchale... just awful.. I don't even like talking about the coaching but this was just terrible. You cant trust a young team

We get beat by bottom dwellers so often that I lost count. Plus embarrassing 4th quarter meltdowns like this too many times.

 

actually the rockets won twice too after against okc. one at home and one away i think.
