A lot of rookie mistakes. But it is his first real NBA game. Hopefully he gets better.

there was a purpose to running around, which is to create space by attacking the defense and forcing the pelicans to react. it didn't work quite that well since the pelicans were pretty disciplined, and so the ball kept moving and went to harden who made the play eventually.

Great win! was happy that the rockets were able to come back with a sense of urgency.

However, what we did tonight cannot be done against a good team like the Pacers, Heat, etc.

James showed absolutely no interest defensively. Really bugs me but I'd like to think he'll be locked in come Playoff time.

On the other hand, he has developed a clutch gene. That is something that is irreplaceable and will be huge for us in the future.

I have watched Canaan play a heap of dleague this year but can they not try and claim he is 6"0. Saying Canaan is 6"0 is like when they use to say dwight was 7"0

Brooks was out with tendonitis in his knee. It is known.

Why did he play? Brooks with a flu or something? Or can there be some issues with AB?

Pelicans are having all kinds of trouble finding a trading partner for Gordon. He went off tonight but that's not his norm. He's averaging about 16 ppg this season on 44% FG and 39% from three. But his salary is too high for other GMs given the fact that he's hurt all the time. He's making $14 million this year and is owed $30 million over the next two years with a player option on the final year. I think he stays in New Orleans for awhile. Don't know why some here were so surprised by this performance. Its happened before. He scored 41 pts against the Thunder a few years ago. He's a streaky shooter but when he's hot, he's deadly.

-9 with a missed shot and 3 fouls in just under 10 minutes. Not a single assist, rebound, steal or anything else.

Lin and Harden PnR forced Rivers to switch from Lin to Harden. Rivers was guarding Lin. Pelican coach did pretty good job from my perspective. At least he was calling time outs during out comebacks and drawing up decent plays.

What a frustrating game......I'm soo glad they found a way to get a W. My Gawd, we suck at the charity stripe.

TJ is the reason we had a chance to win the game - he kept us close. TJ plays with a lot of passion and heart! He is becoming one of my team favorites. TJ is a beast.

Harden had some clutch shots at the end....

Officiating was stewpid all nite. I wish the NBA would stop rewarding floppers.

    McHale wants Anderson too! kidding.

T Jones is the MVP of this road trip. It's easy to see why Morey can consider him along with Lin and Parsons are possible third stars for this team.

If he can develop some sort of mid range jumper and even make a three a bit more consistently, while keeping his energy and motor up, he can be really special. He is so explosive and ball handling has some rough edges, but its overall very smooth for power forward. I love that we are watching him grow before our eyes.

I swear nobody follows injury reports or twitter or anything else these days.

Rockets gd Aaron Brooks, sitting out with a sore knee, said it is precautionary. Thinks he will be ready, cleared to play tomorrow vs. OKC.
— Jonathan Feigen (@Jonathan_Feigen) January 15, 2014

I really like the growth of Jones. He's playing with confidence all the time. Every time he came out from a timeout he'd just wander on the court like a bad ass.
I wish he'd be our answer on 4 so the Rockets won't have to give up a lot to acquire a star 4.

Canaan's D was not good tonight or ever was. Did you watch the game? Nothing against the kid, but he's too short with limited athleticism...

I was hoping he would score that 3 pointer.
