Chandler Parsons: Most underrated player in the league, 2nd best small forward in the west, model, can he win Most Improved Player this season?

    17.1ppg, 5.4 rpg, 3.6 ast, 51% fg 38% 3pt

Stats can not show how important he is to this team. He completes this team, he is.the third player we need.

He is what completes a championship starting 5:
If players were to accept their role here's the team:

    Beverely/Harden/Parson/Jones/Howard
Lin/Brooks/Garcia/Casspi/Asik as backups. But things happen...

Parsons has what it takes to average the necessary 18.4 ppg in.the playoffs, he has that potential. The league still sleeps on him and it drives me crazy. He doesn't even have his custom face in 2k.

    T. Jones says he is not even the most improved player in the team let alone the league....

T.Jones would have a good point too .... He's been very solid this season after doing absolutely nothing last season .... Parsons is the better overall player and has improved this season , but not as great an improvement as Jones.

I didn't realize Parsons was shooting better than 51% from the field for the season ... That's impressive considering the percentage of 3's he shoots.

Parson's shot 80% from the entire court for 1 game last season. The guy is a super star, just needs more time to develop PHYSICALLY. If he takes care of his body, builds it up in the gym and in the kitchen. He will have a very long, and successful career.

No chance. His counting stats are basically the same. His efficiency's improved quite a bit though. But due to the Rockets playing slower this year, the raw numbers are pretty lacking.

The MIP award is designed for someone like Isaiah Thomas to win. And he'd be quite deserving too since it's an offense-based award.

Should be renamed the "most likely to regress to the mean" award.

Parsons is that dude and I hope he stays. Having said that STOP saying he's a superstar. Players that can't create their own shot are not superstars.

league still sleeps on him ?! this guy was just on espn 3 min special & was invited to the studio with shaq, kenny, chuck on TNT for a 6min special “not howard or harden”, was all over the media this summer as the guy who got howard to come to houston.

all the announcers praise him when we play on national TV about his 2nd round draft pick, shot, contract, drives etc.. if you say it drives you crazy that people sleep on him.. Then you you must want him to have durant type hype, nike shoes dropping, Gatorade commercials with wade ?

Nobody in the league is sleeping on Parsons. He is the first name that comes up when fans from other teams talk about us. People know his importance and he will get paid when his contract is up.

Maybe I'm overlooking someone else, but DeMarcus Cousins would probably be my choice right now. A jump from 20 to 28 PER is really impressive.

In no form/fashion is Parsons a superstar, but you're wrong. He can create his own shot in a variety of ways:
    • Beating his man off the dribble for a layup.
    • Post - shot fake, getting around his man
    • Shooting over the top.
    • Great pump fake to create a play.
The best part is that he doesn't force anything. He plays within the system and is always looking for his teammates.

No, he is not. He was good last year too, but not much better this year. Likely he is not going to win MIP, and the rockets do not want to him to win it too because they have to pay him more.

Parsons seems deserving, but yeah, Jones makes quite a case too.

forget the mips, he is the team's mvp! his number would be higher if there were more shots to go around so I really don't pay attention to that. Just look out our play when he is on the court and when he is not. parsons is one righteous dude they all love him.

Yep. Other than that.. Paul George? If we include sophs, Anthony Davis. I might be missing some people too, but those would be my three picks.

Bledsoe, Isaiah Thomas, Afflalo would get some votes, i guess.

Remember at the beginning of the season when everyone was saying Parsons had regressed, wasn't the team's third star, and couldn't hit threes anymore? lol.
