Casspi's game is that of a shooter, he gets the majority, if not all of his points by taking jump shots. Where as Marshon Brooks or a similar player, can score outside, as well as penetrate and score around the basket. The Rockets are missing THAT type of player off the bench Garcia and Casspi get their points the same way, outside.
The thing I liked about Delfino is when he made a ridiculous 3, his reaction is that "WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOO" face.
never said that casspi is better than gallo, because he isn't.gallo is a much better player. you wrote that casspi is trash, I just dont understand how can a trash player posterize a great player like gallo twice, can you?
First - it's just not true. Casspi actually is not Delfino in one aspect for sure as he shoots only 43% from 3pt. And Delfino did 67%. Other shots are layups, floater s, bank shots from close range. Omri is good in cutting to basket for easy shots and also is ok on penetrations (no, he's sure not Parsons but seems to be much better than Delfino in this matter). Second - even if Casspi was pure shooter, still it's not related matter as Omri is playing backup 4, guarding backup bigs like this Olynyk he failed to posterize... And Olynyk is full 7' 0"
both carlos and omri are players you are pleasantly surprised with some games, and others you just keep putting your palm on your forehead…….delfino was a much better defender/rebounder/playermaker for us though and omri seems to play like asspi quite a bit more often
Don't get the Casspi hate here. Even Delfino played some PF last season after MM and PPT got traded, his last season average was: 10.6 pts, 3.3 REB, 2.0 AST in 25 min per game. And Casspi so far is : 8.3 pts, 3.7 REB and 1.5 AST in 20.2 min per game. I don't see much difference there. With Casspi, we don't need to slide Parsons to the 4 all the time, and he is effective there when we play small ball. I actually like much better with Jeremy at 1, James at 2, Parsons at 3 and Casspi at 4 much better than Delfino at 4 in that line up.
look at per game, Casspi actually rebounds better, and I really game Delfino's "playmaking" part, how much TO he get when he thought he is a PG? I actually like Casspi over Delfino simply because most of the times Casspi play within himslef, and Delfino always try to do too much.
you're right about the rebounding average……as far as playmaking, we'll have to disagree….i cringe every time casspi puts the ball on the floor in halfcourt
O! There's point here... Actually even two points. First. What's 10x better player? Is he scoring x10 points? No. Is he getting x10 rebounds or assists? No. Does he have x10 higher PER? No. But there's one thing which is actually x10. Salary. Gallinari is getting x10 money: ~$10 mill. per year instead of ~$1 mill. And second... With all above Gallinari is clearly better player than Omri (really not sure if Delfino is...) . So it's just wrong to jump to conclusions basing on sevreal gifs:grin:

Also I did not mean for my thread to turn into a real conversation about Delfino vs Casspi. Casspi IMO is way better then Delfino for the purpose of the team. I was just making fun of his epic poster dunk fail.
