Curious as to how people accidently dig up decade-old threads. You don't even have the search function!

    Edit: nvm, makes sense now...

    Ha!

Is bumping a 13-yr-old thread, accidentally, some sort of Clutchfans record? It must be close at least, since the site is not much older than that.

Thanks, I won't go through the trouble of reading this but was a bit alarmed after reading "Animal Cruelty Festival."

Actually, it's a time capsule of sorts. Just check it out:
    * fairly civilized debate
    * no D&D forum (it didn't exist then, i think).

Lots of cool posters like Dean B Curtis and Achebe popping up who are gone from the BBS now. They don't have any rep, I think, because this was waaaay before the rep system.

This is a throwback to a time when "trolls" only existed in books and movies.

    That's true, way before rep.

and yeah, this has got to be a record for oldest necrobump.

and until Behad replies, I will have the record as the oldest post in the oldest necrobump. ;)

and as an added note....to the newer folk who cant figure out how this forum got the reputation for quality it has, jsut check the discussion in the middle of this thread, see how they are civil and snippy at the same time? The discussions around here were alot more like this and alot less than the average post in GARM.

Looks like, technically, this isn't the oldest necrobump, because it was bumped twice after Behad's OP. Looks like ppl liked it so much they bumped twice during Rodeo season. Once in 2002 and again in 2003.

Then we got Yao Ming. And it was all forgotten. Eat the Head! :)

But maybe it is the thread with the most necrobumps ever.

oh, and I miss CriscoKidd. But he does have one greenie, so he must be lurking about, still.

Where did all the animal lovers go? Is this a dying cause OR do they pop up every decade or so

The necro-bump is my fault. I linked this thread in the 2014 rodeo thread.

And you still have the record, R2K. According to the OP of this thread, I'm 37!

Before I realize the necro bump status I was very confused and thinking, "no way, he is much older than I am, not the same age!"

Ah, necro bump. All you do is make me come face to face with my own mortality. 11 years ago I was so young and beautiful. And much more interested in posting.

Rodeo still sucks and needs to go away.

Do you believe all of the lies in the OP or is this a troll thread? What experience have you got around livestock?

It's a troll thread. In 2001, I was the biggest troll on this board. Still am, but much less often.

    Lulz.

If thats the case, then Im 35 and you are still older.:p

Its funny looking back, I don't know who pissed me off that day, but I had some real venom for the type of folks who attend events like this.

I guess that comes from a lifetime of growing up as a hippy musician in a town full of rednecks still emulating the Urban Cowboy ideal(Pasadena).
