Are we just going to sit here and ignore the (terrible) season Otto Porter is having?

Not sure why Noel still wouldn't be a top 5 pick in redrafts. Just because he's been injured this year doesn't mean he's still not one of the better prospects in the future. IMO before he got hurt at Kentucky he clearly looked like the best prospect in the draft.

Guy has a chance to be a really special player in the NBA. We'll just have to wait and see if his skill level develops into that of an Anthony Davis type or if he's just a Marcus Camby type… which isn't half bad at all as a worst case scenario.

It is too soon to label any player a bust from this draft. This was known to be a draft of role players. We will have to wait a few years and see which players continue to improve and which players give up.

It actually helped him. Knowing that the vast majority of this draft class sucks, he'd be a top 5 pick no matter what, only based on potential.

only if you look at stats in a vacuum. I'm sure you aren't really comparing the two, other than stats, no? Thing about Magic's rookie year is Norm Nixon was still getting >7apg, and the Lakers were the best team in the NBA. They were going with two PGs. If Nixon wasn't on that team, Magic would have had >10apg easy, which was proven as soon as they traded Nixon for Byron Scott.

I feel like "redrafting" shouldn't be done for a particular year, until two years after the draft. So something like 2014 would be a more valid look at the 2012 draft class.

Some rookies that didn't get much fanfare in their year, could become really, really good sophomores (Parsons, Vucevic). And some sophomores who were really good rookies might not produce great 2nd year numbers.

tl;dr? It's too early to talk about redrafting. I mean, the year isn't even over yet.

Well Cavs have Irving, of course they wouldn't draft MCW at #1 even if they had a do-over.

It'd either be Oladipo (due to irving/waiters inability to co-exist) or Giannis.

Anyways, is there anyone here who thinks Otto will eventually pan out?

Amazing that the Greek Freak fell to 15 in such an awful draft.

To be fair, not many people playing overseas pan out that often into great basketball players. Not only that, but some were skeptical based on the amount of talent/competition he was facing.

MIL's rotation is all screwy. Middleton was playing really well for a stretch, around two weeks ago, and the coach decided to move him to the bench.

Also, OT, but Larry Sanders is awful this season.

    Milwaukee?

The 175 minutes total is about Porter I think. Giannis should be about 600-900 by now.

It's still too early to get out the bust cards, I think. But they have been disappointments from this last draft. But remember, sometimes it's because of the team that drafted them that a rookie isn't putting the numbers expected of them. Bennett should have never been drafted by the Cavs. Same could go for Porter, Zeller and Len. I think all of those guys went a little higher than they should have.

Of guys that have played so far (not counting Len/McCollum, yet)...

    1. Antetokoumpo
    2. Carter-Williams
    3. Oladipo
    4. Adams
    5. Burke
    6. Plumlee
    7. Hardaway
    8. McLemore (I think he'd be doing better elsewhere).

    It gets fuzzy after that.

Sure, I think there's a good chance of that happening.

Did Victor OLADIPO do something to you breh?
Ordinary? You know solid doesn't necessarily mean ordinary right?
He's averaging a pretty solid 13.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists. Good rookie numbers, not great but not ordinary and not bad.

Plus, ask the Magic, Oladipo is one of those players that has intangibles that can't be measured by various stats. I can understand your Adams argument but no need to slight Oladipo to raise up Adams.
