Yeah Lin this and Lin that...yeah it's all his fault we lost and if we win its all because of him blah blah blah....hey lets talk about the real issues we have in this game...Greg Smiths defense has been poor in his 8 mins meaning we have no real backup for Howard, TJones being soft so far in the 1st half and Garcia has really been mostly streaky on his 3 ball lately and it looks off again tonight. Hope Howard doesnt get into foul trouble
that's trash,he's played terrific d. but for the sake of the team, we have to start brooks and let lin do his thing off the bench. for one, brooks is the last one to play with a dinosaur ,ie a great center. brooks isn't scared to give bol to big man and he is so hot from threeville. lin is ho humming while starting out there. he can get just as many shots and more intensity from the bench and more points.
You have to pick up the dribble to pass the ball. I agree his offense hasn't been great since he came back from the injury, but His D has been very good, and his overall game has been ok. He is winning his matchup almost every night. He is without a doubt doing better than Bev was starting, and that's with him playing just ok.
I have the Hawks broadcast. There assistant coach basically said they know we cannot defend at the same pace as we set with our offense.
Those are my thoughts as well. Lin when he isn't aggressive... Let's be honest here. Is a borderline NBA player. There's no other way around it. When his mindset is attack, attack, attack - he is an above average PG. I prefer him on the bench coming in with the second unit where he has the mindset of 'this is my time' and just be relentless in going to the hoop.
Howard has 9 points, Harden has 12 points, and both Lin/Brooks have 7 points each....those four are not the problem in the first half. Brewer is locked from shooting so you can't blame him.....Jones, Garcia, and Casspi need to do something.
How much is on the players though. Lin is passive and missing open shots. Casspi and Garcia are useless. harden can't be expected to always do all the scoring. The one thing I do agree with you about is the lack of offensive sets. We need more picks for our guards. But howard wants the ball in the post. Is that a coaching problem or a superstar problem?
Horrible by Harden, even though he bailed himself out. Must dribble to the wing to make that entry pass.
