the best system for lin is dantoni's system but i truly feel the rockets have the 2nd best system which is pretty much no basics plays and just push the ball.
seems like lately he's so focused on d his offense is slipping and at points where we're finding it's hard to score and that falls on the PG because he sets the tone. Bev or Brooks isn't much of an upgrade. I'd be high on lin if he didn't disappear at times when we need someone to step up and get some points other than harden. he has shown he has the abiliity to do it just not consistently.

You can't just blame everything on coaching, some of it is obviously on Lin as well. He needs to be better, thats all there is to it.

Well Sherlock, this is a Lin thread. if you want to talk about other things, I'm sure there are others to choose from. I would think the title is pretty clear.

This is the reason why I hate the LOFs on this board. Every time he's in a slump IT MUST BE COACH'S FAULT! Like clockwork.

Those early score ratings were without Harden, where he was pretty much a primary scorer. I think he is taking more of a back seat role now that Harden is fully healthy and destroying other teams from the offensive end.

I think Lin's efficiency is still very high. And I think he should be focusing more on defense since offense is not the problem with the first units

Can you do a chart that demonstrate his defensive performance?

Very good point. Efficiency is as (perhaps more) important as the absolute value. The latte depends on the playing time and role etc. You can still have high ppt with high volume/low efficiency, which is bad for the team.

I am a Lin fan, and I suspect that it was a hater who pretended to be a Lin fan. Any Lin fan who appears to be brainless is actually a hater.:):(

If you still believed Mchale has nothing to do with Lins dragging situation as PG then i thinks theres something wrong with your eyes...If other pgs were given ample time or years of development, here in houston, pg situation is like a roller coaster...everybody wants to play the role of being PG! Parson, Casspi to name a few...From a coach standpoint he should control his players and let Lin do his job....and if you believe that pbev is better than Jlin , u must be kidding me...Jlin had proven his worth and should be treated like a true pg in this team...i believed that the kid have the tools to be a great pg, just let him mature and learn from his mistakes...in the long run, Houston Rockets is the one going to benefit from it...but i understood that haters gonna hate and nothing can change their mind to pull Jlin out of this team if theres a chance...

I think Jeremy Lin is doing well in Houston, considering he plays with 2 other superstars (Harden and Howard) who score a lot. Pat Beverley is a great PG too, as is Brooks, but those two seem to fit better in the team because Harden plays the same kind of game as Lin. This is why there's so much bickering on this forum (I just joined and went through most of the topics on the first page, and it doesn't seem like anyone's happy with the team. It's either Lin love or Harden love).

I agree with Drexler, if this team stays together for a few years, they will get the ring, regardless of which of the three solid players starts at PG. Lin and Harden need to find a balance on the offense, because if they both get a chance to play their kind of game, this team will be unstoppable.

Trading Lin for Dragic or another aggressive PG makes no sense. This is a great lineup. Just give them time.

Maybe if anyone else on the team could actually guard their own man he wouldn't roam as much :)

Morey said that we would have no gone to the playoffs without Lin. In addition , he has said that Lin is an important part of the team many times.

Morey also has reportedly tried to trade Lin multiple times over the past 6 months too... so what Morey says about Lin as a great complement, but realize that Morey is by all accounts a salesperson talking about his product out in the media.... which might as well be a billboard on the side of the road.

A Honda car salesman might tell you that the Civic is the greatest car in the world, but you know if he sells enough Civics he will later take his commission checks and go and buy a BMW for himself.

So while I do think that Morey really really believes and likes Jeremy Lin, he wouldn't hesitate in a split second to upgrade if the possibility came around.

Lin isn't good anymore. He sucks. Beverly sucks too. Everybody is confused.

We have the worst point guard duo.

I'll take jru, Isaiah, Lowry, dragic, dwill, cp3, Westbrook, Conley, Bledsoe, Parker, almost every starting pg.
