The Rockets should move him to power forward, and bring Mo off the Bench. When Hakeem goes out, he could slide to center. I really think that Cato would provide some toughness if he were able to start. He probably could pull down more rebounds than Mo, and it would give Taylor a reason to change the way he plays. I think that the twin tower lineup would be excellent defensively. The fact that Cato can't shoot would mean that Walt, Hakeem, and Shandon would get more shots, while the Rockets would have a decent post game off the bench to go along with Mobley. Thoughts...

    Cato? Toughness? [IMG]

Those words don't even belong in the same sentence. I don't like the idea of trying to rate "toughness" to begin with. But Cato is soft.

Cato bites on the simplest head fakes and always jumps too soon. He gets hurt all the time. He never plays in 82 games. Cato's rebounding numbers aren't very good.

    Cato's stats:

Damn. I can't get a table to format nicely. Grr.

    97-98: averaged 13.6 min in 74 games. 3.4 rebs
    98-99: averaged 12.7 min in 43 games. 3.5 rebs
    99-00: averaged 24.3 min in 65 games. 6 rebs

Was he hurt at all during 97-98 or 98-99, or was he just getting DNPs in Portland?

Cato thinks he will be back on 12/16.
