I'm pretty happy with it. The Saturday undercard is strong with Washed Out, Chvrches, Pet Shop Boys, MGMT. Bummed to see Muse on there again, as there were rumors of NIN being the 3rd headliner. Previously id be going ape **** seeing the Knife on a Coachella poster, but their recent live shows have not been well received. Overall a pretty solid lineup though, and I'm sure there are some gems in there that I have yet to discover. Already have passes to weekend 1 via the presale, so need to decide if I'll be making the trip this year. Haven't been since 2011.
I'm with you there. Coachella formula done well - Good mix of still relevant vets with a decent throwback act, current hip bands, recently emerged acts and decent undergrounders
Yeah, I've bought presale each of the last few years and ended up selling them. I think last year we got around $500/ticket.
It looks pretty ridiculous. I would love to see Outkast. I saw Arcade Fire and Muse there before and both were two of the best shows I had seen. Bummed I can't make it this year.
This is not related to Coachella, but for west coast music fans, Biffy Clyro is doing 6 west coast dates in February in clubs. They are headlining the Isle of Wight Festival this summer in UK where they are huge, so it's a great chance to see them up close. Will likely be years before they come back through.
