Lin's too flashy for him. Every time he plays, he's daring McHale to watch the shine.

Maybe McHale has some residual anti-Showtime feelings ingrained in him...

no I am not comparing Magic to Lin so don't kill me...

Lin can probably put up top 5 calibur stats in the right system (18-20 ppg, 6-8 assists). But the same could probably be said about a lot of other mid-tier guys.

McHale just doesn't like the inconsistencies in Lin's game. Looks amazing one night, poor the next.

Beverley will be the starter when he returns, 100% sure of it.

Agreed. And once Lin's contract expires, he will probably leave for any team that will offer him a guaranteed starting spot.

I won't even bother debating with you...I can tell by your reply that no matter what I say it'll go out the other ear as soon as you read it. You're just like most of the LOH unreasonable period. I'm actually pretty happy with what Lin has accomplished this season. Any unbiased rocket fan + stats can prove it so i ain't mad.

Still not sure if Lin should be starter, but seeing Harden put up his best numbers in the past few games is good to see with Lin in the starting line up. It could be the ankle injury healing up, or less pressure on Harden when Lin is in the starting line up...we will wait and see. The W record has also been ok since Bev broke his hand 5-3, just need more consistency from this line up to say lock Lin in for the starting line up.

Learn how to read before making silly posts. I said "currently" Lin will struggle to be a top 15 PG in the league and currently he plays for the Rockets and not some other team X, Y or Z. And most Lin fans still call him a top 10 PG and All star caliber LOL

For a player known for his offense 13 points on 4-12 shooting, 4 assists and 4 Turnovers against Marshall sure screams all star LOL

Look, I like Lin but fact is he will be a role player on any championship team and those are the Rockets aspirations currently. It is best he comes off the bench in a 6th man role.

Exactly what kind of numbers were you expecting Lin to put up tonight?

Tonight, Lin didn't have a great offensive game this time but he did have a great defensive game. He left Marshall on 5 points with 2/13 FGM and 1/6 3PM 8 assts 6 TOs. Defense is also kinda important dontcha know?

Damn, seems like Lin was fine for a game like this, huh. I'm sure Harden will get similar leeway the next time he shoots 33%/20%3pt. Because I just know people here are just so forgiving of a bad night once in a while.

The numbers of 13 points and 4 assists are ok for an average player which Lin is but what is unacceptable is 4-12 shooting and 4 turnovers.

McHale would keep definitely keep Harden on the floor. Lin I'm not so sure.

He will. The Harden vs George thread will come up. The problem is that there's a difference between blatant hate & constructive criticism.

Yes because no one is allowed to have a bad offensive scoring night even if he currently has the third highest TS% of all PGs in the NBA. Yes you can tell everything about a player from one game smh.

Lin has off-nights with shooting. Everyone does. He also makes turnovers. You sound genuinely surprised like it's never happened before.

Again my response was to the point a poster raised about Lin having an OK game which he clearly did not.

Learn how to read a few posts above before posting

Lin basically played like Beverley today (except the last few minutes when he was a TO machine) and of course his fans said he played decent. But when Beverley puts up those numbers and plays the same defense, they laugh at his numbers.
