To be honest, you have to go for him because if we don't then that's 1 less suitor for Asik on the market. It's a Morey move.

Plan B is Camby, C is wait for Smith, and D is wait for Asik...unless we start running D-Mo at center which won't work much.

    Twin Towers not work?

    No problem.

    Let's try Triplet Towers.

Yeah, I feel sorry for the team that gives him more than the min. He might stiff them if the offer is too high. If all he gets is min offers then he will realize this is what teams think of him based on his history and he will need to change if he wants to get paid again.

Replace Asik with Howard and this was a normal post last year. How 1 off-season can change everything.

Morey wined and dined Asik, treated him like am upper-class women with promises and guarantees of long term relations. They agreed to get married, signed the papers and then this 10 swooped in and rocked Daryl's world while Asik sat there and watched everything happen from the beginning. He kept hearing rumors, but he never thought much of them. He didn't worry because what he and Morey had was special and he also knew this 10 was a fickle lady. In the end, Asik turned out to be a bottom b**** you take to the Olive Garden on her birthday. Morey broke too many promises, and Asik just wanted to play every night until he lied and cheated. The girl was tired of being second fiddle in her early 20's and though Morey would treat her right.

If we had some strong veteran leadership on this team, I would say yes. Probably a low-risk financially but we seem to have enough headaches and instability.

I don't really see anything to lose if he takes a small contract.

If he pouts, send him to D league, or suspend him. If he plays well, we have our backup big, and we can take best offer available for Asik without a concern of getting back another big.

Aggressively is an exaggeration, IIRC. Morey just looked into it.

Bynum is broken. We should stay away, unless it's a heck of a deal we can't refuse.

not only is he a diva, but some major attitude and mental issue, not to mention highly unmotivated.... maybe playing on a good team will change all that? Hmmm.... doubtful, or at least for a few games.

    Last season Bynum's knees crumbled.
    This season Bynum's heart capitulated.
    Why do you want Bynum?

He doesn't even have to play basketball on our team. For 12 minutes a game we just need him to go out there and be tall.

I would sign him in a second.

He did express interest in coming to the Rockets early part of last summer.

48 mins of Howard and Bynum!
Allows for more flexibility of what the Rockets need in return for Asik, they can afford to go any position besides center to increase the depth off the bench plus a pick.

When Bynum is focused and healthy he's outstanding. I think 12-16 min a game will help not only keep him staying fresh for the playoffs but D12 as well.

Low risk High reward situation, Morey is probably all over it.

I say a motivated Bynum is better than a pouting Asik. Plus if we get Bynum under contract and win a few games with him playing backup minutes that will give Morey a little bit of leverage over potential trade partners for Asik, leverage over Asik's agent, and leverage over Asik too.
