Houston trades: Eddie gfiffin cat Mobley, Mo Taylor, and our secon round draft pick.

Washington trades:Kwame Brown, Christian Laettner, Byron Russell, and there 1# pick projected tobe 4- 10

Why houston does this: They get veterans in Russell and laettner and Kwame might do better in a differnt scenerio. Plus we get their lotto pick and get a point guard maybe t.j. Ford or luke rindour both pure point guards.

Why washington does this: they get young 18 ppg scorer in cat in case they lose stackhouse. Eddie might play better with change of scenerio just like Kwame. With Mo taylor they get instant offense and inside scoring.plus they get our second rounder to sweeten the deal

I would not want to give up that much, but it is not a horrible trade just because Brown might, and that is a small chance, become a great player. He reminds me of Jermine O'Neal. If we get TJ Ford with the pick it might be worth it.

I'd rather trade for Horry and George....
    jk

well I wouldn't do it for two reasons:
    1. We lose two proven scorers and in return we dont get more scoring options. We do get role players, but since we gave up Mobley AND Taylor we just lose too much offense.
    2. I dont think there is a point to shake up the chemistry of the team just for the heck of it. The first round pick would be nice, but there is no way Washington is going to trade their lottery pick this year, especially since Jordan is gone and they need some great young tools for rebuilding. We dont get scoring or defense or chemistry or passers. No point.

I couldn't see why Wizzards will take the deal.

This goes for all Cuttion-trading lovers:

If you wanna see him go, make a trade that sounds possible and legitimite. Trade him for a guy who can ball.

I think a straight out Mobley for David Wesley trade would work well for both teams. It's not a crazy situation, and not complicated.

Like a poor man's Bibby for Williams trade.

    You think that is legit??????????
Yeah...it's possible.....because Hornets would sure as HADES accept that.

For the original trade idea...I think we would be giving up way too much. Kwame Brown does seem nice......and the 1st round draft pick.

Why wouldn't Wizards accept? They would be getting so much!

It's an OK deal. But would never happen.

i think this is a somewhat plausible trade idea. Griffen for Brown is trading "potential" baggage that has worn out its welcome in it's respective cities. Cat allows Stack to be the primary option like he should have been all along, but adds a great second scoring option. Mo gives them scoring down low.

For us, it gives us a veteran defensive two/three in the seldom used Russel, and gives us a good energy player in Laettner. But most importantly, gives us a draft option. We could then let go of posey and sign a veteran four.

    not bad
