rockets not making the playoffs 4 straight years?

or being a Timberwolves fan and getting booted out 7 times out of the first round?

not which one YOU find frustrating...kinda like pick your poison

    whew... that's a toughie.

i say getting kicked out the first round for 7 straight years is tougher.

you see, if you don't make the playoffs, there's more time to ponder ridiculous trade ideas involving unattainable players... garnett, bryant, malone, etc.

Answer: Getting kicked out of the playoffs in the first round 7 straight years.

Reason: No Lottery Picks to make the team a contender.

Then again, it's not like the Twolves would get a pick either way thanks to Joe Smith...

yeah ill have to go with the 7 years of first round exits...kinda puts this 4 year drought into perspective.

Ours is worse. Not only have we not made the playoffs for four years but the three years before that in which we did make the playoffs we were kicked out in the first round. That would make our seven year drought worse than the Wolves seven year drought.

Nope. 6 years. 7 years ago we made it to the Western Conference finals, after beating the T-wolves in the first round. Remember?

It's not the Timberwolves or Flip Saunders fault. It the "Joe Smith" violation debacle.

Add insult to injury when Marburry left the team.

Rocket/Oiler fans should know, we've had it both ways.

Its not like they were favored in any of those series. Its different when a team enters the playoffs as the favored team like Seattle did in 94-95 and lost in the 1st rd as opposed to coming in as the underdog. It would be nice to smell the playoffs real soon.

Marbury leaving only now looks like a bad deal. Didn't they get Brandon for him? He's no slouch. Hell, didn't HUdson have a better playoff run than Stephon?

In all fairness this is not a fair comparison. While it's definitely worse to be booted 7 times in the first round with no lottery, you can't say not making the playoffs is much better. Let's face the facts, the only reason Minnie even makes the playoffs is because of one KG. Other than that they're a pathetic excuse for a team. You can spin it any way you want but they are. Then there are all those teams with great talent that doesn't make the playoffs. Clippers anyone? Or how about them Hawks. And now Houston. To tell you the truth I think it's almost as bad, a crime if you will, not to make the playoffs with this team.

I would rather see the rockets in the playoffs than sitting in some studio in New York waiting on ping pong balls

I do not understand why KG stays with the Wolves. Wolves signed KG to a $126 million contract, making $25.2 million this past season. KG is also up for a contract extention this year...can you imagine that?

Garnett has one year left on his six-year, $126 million deal that triggered the current salary-cap agreement. Garnett's salary could start at 29.4 million. That is crazy money. Hopefully, he will ask less then that. Do you really think the Rockets want his salary on their hands?

getting knocked off in the first round is much much worse

and as bandgeekmobster said earlier stated earlier, you don't have lottery picks to make the team a contender

being first round fodder every year has to hurt. in the east, they could win it all, but in the west, they are just fodder, nothing more.
