Chris Paul yells in the faces of officials and gets away with it.

Comparing Harden to Chris Paul is just insulting. James may give annoyed looks, but I've never seen him intimidate a ref into changing a call. Chris Paul's intimidation is real, I've seen refs change calls when Paul gives one of his "are you effing kidding me!" looks even when Paul clearly fouled someone. He's not dirty like DWade, but he is sneaky.

I wish the league would fine both Paul and the whimpy refs.

I hate the way Harden flops but outside of a few scowls he's usually a calm/quiet dude. Chris Paul on the other hand gets up in the officials face and flaps his mouth off while mean mugging.

Chris Paul is definitely overrated. It's like doc rivers said, they haven't won anything.

what Harden will do though is constantly run into the defenders as if the refs are under some obligation to give him those calls.

like Kelvin Sampson would say, "that's not basketball".

    it's veeeeeeerrrrrryyyyy boring.

also, Ric Bucher is a reporter for the Warriors now and he probably roots for them.

i am not saying he is biased, but i don't think he would be saying these things if he still worked for ESPN.

    Flops

CP3 injured himself, while trying to flop in a game against the Mavericks. When players flop excessively in highschool or college basketball; the opposing coach sends somebody after them, to lay some wood on them (knock the wind out of them) while in the course and flow of the game, even if those players happen to be stars. If such things as flopping are not adequately addressed by referees and other league officials; then it inevitably is up to players and coaches to disperse justice, in their own self interest.

Yeah, yeah. Harden does flop sometimes BUT COMMON, against the CLIPPERS? SHEESH...We should be hearing about fines every week against Griffin and CP3

Did you see the phantom call on Corey Brewer (5th foul) vs Durant last night? Durant grimaced because of his knee, Corey didn't even touch him, yet he was assessed for a foul.

The NBA should see to it that their refs are well-trained and have good eyes. Flopping continues because the refs don't know how to distinguish genuine contact from flops. Also the rules that mandate no touch on perimeter players is bad, and just encourages acting.

Don't penalize the players, penalize the refs.

A bunch of homers in this thread.

If the NBA were really serious about fixing this issue, at the very least they should make the flopping fines much heftier, proportional to the players salaries, and enacted without a bias towards protecting star players. Yeah, I know, good luck with that...

But really, the NBA needs some sort of a refereeing overhaul. I doubt having three blind people doing this is the best solution in this technological era.

Here's something I noticed about the refs. Whenever there are fast breaks they generally always call a foul if they can. I think the reason is so there will be a stop in the action so they are able to rest instead of running back. I guess they are tired. The only solution for this is to have more refs so they can be more stationary.

Chris Paul is the worst, he will flop when no one is near him and away from the ball. I haven't seen james do that yet

That being said, james needs to cut this **** out. He is too good to be doing this ****, and it's terrible basketball to watch

But that's what every superstars in the NBA do, they expect to get calls. And that's why you need superstars to win in the NBA. It's not fair, but it is what it is.

The thing I don't like when Harden tries to flop is when he attacks the basket is when he tries he ends up turning the ball over.

I am also a Pelicans fan. When CP played for us, he flopped all the time but it helped us win games so we didn't mind too much. But when it comes to flopping, Chris Paul, James Harden, and Dwade take a back seat to Anderson Varejao. That dude turned flopping into an art form. And our own Scola deserves honorable mention as well. He was a good flopper. Harden is not in the same league as these guys.

I don't know why people think CP3 is such a good guy. He's a bit of a fraud in that sense. Harden flops to some extent but I think other guys get angry because he comes at them swinging his arms left and right to initiate contact and then they get called for a foul.
