What? Rockets do need less iso Rockets do need a better coach Rockets do need Harden to put effort on both ends So, I must be a LOF. I do like Lin a lot. I think he is the 3rd best player in this team.
That female likes to use partial truth to support her agenda. She conveniently skipped the facts that AB had 7 missed shots out of 8 attempts with 2 TOs and 4 fouls in 20 minutes. Just ignore her posts.
LMAO @ "that female." I have to say -- I'm always flattered when I've made an impression on someone whose font I've never even noticed before.
Larvs8 thought everybody who bashes McHale and the team for that atrocious D and ISO plays are all LOFs. I'd like to see some better D before I give McHale that extension. Maybe I'd like to see again the 94-95 brand of Rockets play that's why all the gripes on McHale who seem to favor Harden rather than team play.
I really like how this team has been rebuilt, piece by piece, and I love where we're headed. I do have to admit that as exciting as this team was to watch and cheer for last season, I've fallen victim to expecting more from this year's roster than is reasonable. I have to remind myself that we're 22 - 13 right now. And, we're not finished rebuilding this team... how awesome is that? More to your point, given our success so far this year, how can any Rockets fan be unhappy about a particular player's PT?
I don't think he has a hatred of Lin but he has a bias. I think McHale is a good man but as a coach, he doesn't like Lin's on the edge way of playing that he's OK with in Harden maybe because Harden is a huge scorer. He elects to go with the defensive-minded, little risk-taking Beverley overall but in this case, went with Brooks because he was taking less risks than Lin was for a stretch in the 3rd.
The hate for LOFs has just gone up another level. Now it includes any fans that want the Rockets to perform better as a team.
Actually, it is a Rockets problem if one of the best players on the team isn't utilized for the sake of the team. He got away with it this time but what if AB didn't injure himself and Lin wasn't put back in that game where he scored 14 in the 4Q. The Rockets may have loss that game. You should really calm down, you make a lot of things personal when they don't have to be.
Yep. I flip flop with Lin and Parsons as who is the 3rd best. Right now, it's Parsons, earlier it was Lin. I think Asik is the 2nd best defensive player on the team, then Bev is the 3rd best. I guess I put Howard 1st. Don't know after that. And although I like Lin, I think he has far more to work on in his game than Parsons does (skills, Parsons could use more moves like a post-up game). I think Lin will as he did in this past off-season.
According to this, McHale yielded to Lin's wishes to leave AB on the floor. From Lin's point of view, AB was playing well. If the post is accurate, McHale was prepared to put Lin back in the game in the 4th quarter. It was Lin that requested AB remain in the game and Lin did not want to disrupt the player chemistry on the floor. By the way, this same situation occurred before (can't remember when) where McHale wanted to substitute AB for Lin and AB asked McHale to leave Lin the game because he was playing well. Players sometimes do this for each other. Didn't Dwight do this for DMo? Lin can be criticized for many things but he is, above all else, a team player and loyal teammate. So if the post cited above is accurate, maybe, just maybe, Lin sacrificed his playing time for the good of the team? But yes, I can understand why his fans might see things differently as Lin has been benched before in the 4th quarter.
Larvs just has lowered his expecations for this team - I understand where he is coming from, and agree with some of it, but I also feel that with better coaching and more attention to detail and effort this team could be top 3 in the west. DD
He was allowing the game to come to him. Then took over in the 2nd half like a Superstar suppose to do. Helleva game by Harden. He had a few terrible possession in crunch time
