because they are not letting dwight set the game in motion. Hakeem did it, dominates the begining, then double teams and miss matches happen, open 3s happen

Since when moving around off the ball is called "running the offense"?

I'm not sure but i think Howard is not fast enough to start a fastbreak. Omer was giving the ball to someone who can run fast as soon as he gets a rebound. Those passes were weird looking but worked very well last season.

Difference is Howard goes for blocks, Omer waits for rebounds. We are one of the worst in defensive rebounds because of Howard goes for blocks. Not wrong for him to do that, just adds pressure for the rest of the team to go for the rebounds. I think other teams are also figuring it out. They go crash on boards to stop us from running fast breaks.

Why go for a block then? I think blocks are overrated but thats another subject. Also i'm talking about what happens when he gets a rebound. He just controls the basketball with one hand, raises his arm, looks around him, he does not try to play fast. Maybe he wants to be a part of offence, again not sure.

He's a bit slow true, but I can understand he tries to make sure he clears it. He's definitely as good as of a passer as Kevin Love when it comes to outlet passes though.

    True
We haven't shot threes and even when we do at a low %
    We aren't running
    No alley oops or lobs
    No fast breaks
And so slow and our defense is terrible

I've noticed this too, the solution would be for T Jones to crash back for the def rebound.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic but I think there is some truth to this

Agreed...good shots are created, bad shots are forced, either by good defense or panic offense. Feeding Howard makes life much easier for the rest of the team. Harden can get his own shots, not sure why he forces iso plays so much which causes the rest of the team to go cold.

The 3-point shooting has been in a slump, but the Rockets are still putting up lots of points on most nights. The problem's been their defense. It's hard to be a running team when you can't get stops and don't force turnovers(while turning the ball over yourself with regularity). Until they commit themselves to playing defense for 48 minutes, they'll continue to have trouble getting out on the break.

Rockets rank 1st in pick and roll efficiency by a wide margin but don't run it very often.

Incorporating Dwight, maybe trying to prepare for a playoff style half-court offense. Beverley doesn't run any offense, he's a safe player on offense and tenacious on defense and outstanding rebounder for a guard.

yup. We attempt the most 3s in the NBA. 3 pt shots are normally taken within 1 step of the 3 pt line. Unless you have unlimited range, not that hard to guard.

The only reason we are winning games is b/c Harden can shoot free throws. No ball movement. No passing. Lackluster D. No run and gun. No motion offense.
