Yeah, Mchale needs to go. The Offensive sets Woodson has the Knicks running makes the Rox offense look embarrassing in comparison
hey guys, Lin Fan here . . . on this game, Lin on the bench is the RIGHT CALL. Look at the 34pts Knicks had on the 3rd. Lots of defensive lapses by Lin there. Rockets need to make stops and don't make the Knicks get into the groove. When Knicks are catching up, it is all Melo ball, easy to anticipate and guard. If the Knicks are up, they will move the ball and everyone involved. On this game, taking Lin out is the right call.
Really hope the "Harden is just another Melo" BS can be put to rest. Harden with 12 more points on 4 less shots. Efficiency matters On another note. I don't care if it was ugly, still counts as a W and I will take it. Let the McHale bashing and the outcry for the Lin benching commence...
Why? Final shots are typically low percentage, and there's always the possibility of them turning it over too. You have an opportunity to go up 3 with 17 seconds to go if you can just hit a wide open 3-pointer from the top of the key, I don't see how that's a bad shot. Of course, J.R. Smith has been a poor shooter this year, so from that standpoint I can understand why maybe it may have been smarter to not take it.
He obviously knew that despite shooting 1/8, 1 assist, and 2 TO's, AB would've drawn the foul to make the game winning freethrows. McHale is a genius.
So one fluke win against an underachieving Spurs side just erases their previous play? They're a terrible team playing on the road after a back to back and we were still lucky to escape with the W.
It wasn't questionable, it was stupid. I'm really pissed and I honestly think he needs to be fired. This is to much, there is no reason for him to play Brooks and leave Lin on the bench.
Is JVG available? I've never seen such an indisciplined team. Unless something changes soon we're going to get smoked in the playoffs.
I love the realgm knicks forum. They're usually level headed, but when one of their players makes a boneheaded move (case in point, Clutch.R. Smith), those boards get hysterical.
