<iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/qfK804n1D7M" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> AHAHAHAHA!!! The hate for Harden on this board is surreal. Don't forget where we were before he put us on the map, without him Howard wouldn't even have thought about us. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Kkgw8xdbugY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Some of you guys need to kill yourselves.
So much anger in one post. Lol. Clutchfans: Where sensitive posters personally insult those who whose views do not exactly align with their own. Followed by a thread about patience and relaxing, when its quite clear, they are the ones about to go off the edge. Take this post for example.
What a useless post. Hate coming on clutchfans and seeing this kind of mess. So much kneejerk, but i guess you expect that from fair weather fans of any team. Now being real, you dont just "trade" a top 10 overall talent on a team that is built to win now and is still growing as a squad. 2nd, growing pains are something thats gonna take place like it or not. 3rd, Harden will most likely retire a Rocket and for that I am very thankful and you should be too.
Actually it's not that far fetched although I agree the probability of this happening is very low. I was actually talking about the state of the Rockets with my roommate last week. Our three best players on the team - Harden, Howard and Parsons - they all have their strengths and weaknesses. But at this stage, Howard has finally lived up to his max salary potential. He's playing great defense, his offense has gotten much better and he's making his FTs. Parsons has a become a beast and borderline all-star with his play. So this leaves Harden the odd man out. He's making max and suppose to be our franchise player. But his defense has been very spotty. He's not a great team player - prefers to hero ball and ISO versus passing the ball around. He 3 pts shooting has gone down this season. He has bad attitude. If I am the GM, I would definitely leave myself a mental note about this. If there are potential pieces down the road, I wouldn't mind getting rid of Harden. But do I think it's going to happen. Hell no. Rockets are not going to win a ring any time soon with the emergence of OKC, Indiana and Portland. They need to sell tickets and get into the playoffs. Without Harden, that's not going to happen. However, he is definitely not untouchable.
This might be the dumbest post i've ever seen on CF and that's saying alot. James Harden and Dwight Howard ARE THE ROCKETS. They are not going anywhere.
If there is another Rockets forum, I think I'm getting close to just posting there instead. I'm already basically avoiding GARM after losses as is. I don't need to see utter stupidity after watching debacles like the Sacramento game. The sad thing is, this board was a lot better place back when we were .500 with Brooks, Scola, Hayes, and the gang. We were beyond mediocre as a team, but at least we had non-r****ded topics on GARM.
ridiculous - and exactly what is wrong with our instant gratification culture. the kids in only 24. the physical skills and tools are there and that's what you're paying the big bucks for. the mental stuff you give him time and hope we see improvement over time - like the duration of the his contract. it's not a guarantee that he will (just like it's never a guarantee that paying a guy or two max money will win you the championship) but you let your bets play out. houston will go through several coaches and even GM's before it even considers trading harden OR dwight.
I'm right there with you. I swore off the site a few weeks ago but the damn Asik trade sucked me back in. However if there is another thread like the Harden meme one that comes out the next couple days I think I'm outa here. See ya at the trade deadline.
if you swear off this website, congratulations. just go ahead and leave, there is no need for the histrionics and the false threats that you might leave us someday...
same dude (Strauss) voted Lin as 6th man of the year so far I am guessing he joined CF in the summer lof 2012 as well
harden I agree with you, people constantly forget just how young Harden is, and that this is only his second season as a full time starter. But, part of the problem is the label he's been given and that we use to describe him: "superstar." Once you've got that designation, people expect MJ clutch performances every game out and are unforgiving of mistakes made routinely by young, inexperienced players. His explosive start last year is actually working against him now, because that's the standard he's being measured by, instead of as an immensely talented young player who's close to being a "superstar" like D-Wade, LeBron, or Chris Paul, but isn't quite there yet.
Response Totally not true. Another max player in place of Harden would allow Rockets to make it to playoffs.
