Which of these would you recommend and which ones would you avoid? China Eastern Air Sichuan Airlines Please list any others to use or avoid.

^ so obvious, you beat me too it, lol (edit) disguised question on which airline has the best air stewardesses
I've flown on China Eastern airlines with no issues a few times. I've also flown inter-China on Dragon Air and it was okay.
I have flown China Eastern and had no troubles. They are almost always late but of the 4 I was on none was later than 30 minutes so I even made a transfer with no problems. I think they are all basically the same, though, because they are owned by the government.
been on Air China domestic flights several times……..comfortable business class, attractive flight attendants, food better than expected
What route are you looking for? Air China Houston to Beijing direct flight is the absolute shiznit. Love not having to go through Newark anymore.
They killed three of their customers last year. Something no major american based commercial airline did. I mean to be 5x better all american based airlines would have had to kill 15 passengers each. They didn't kill any so...

Asiana hasn't been around that long but in their limited history (1988) they have had 69 passenger fatalities. Continental Airlines has had 1. Obviously Continental has a much larger operation so if you look at fatalities per passenger mile the disparity would be even more staggering. Air China (Houston-Beijing) is not the same company as China Airlines (your video). Just putting that out there.
Does Cathay Pacific count? I used them to get to China and to get to Indonesia...very good experience.
good luck finding a continental airlines flight. maybe you can fly united instead though, they've only had ~1200 people die on their planes since inception. perhaps you should just drive your white van instead..
If you don't include 9-11 they have had 147 since 1988. 111 died on Flight 232 which is the textbook case on how CRM is supposed to be done. Meaning the flight crew for that flight are legends. So they have 10 times the fleet of asiana and only twice the fatalities. I think that makes them 5x better than asiana, not the other way around as you suggest. I fly non-US commercial all the time, but don't think for a second american aviation isn't the standard for the world.
why would i not include 9/11? on the contrary, if they are being actively targeted then that surely factors in on whether to fly with them or not. also, thus far we have only focused on the instantaneous deaths by plane crash between the 2 carriers. but what about the other factors that also take years off your life? the frosty fugly united flight attendants? the stale GMO-laden meals? the ridiculously uncomfortable seats that rarely if ever lie flat and are probably covertly lobbied for by the greedy american association of chiropracters? all this and more eventually adds up…..stress kills..
