Harden's problem is not his fault. It is the coach's fault. The coach failed to instruct him to play team ball and play defense. A young talented player need a good coach to develop him to the super star level.
Damn right is highly unlikely... Dwight didn't come here to help or wait for a top 3 pick to develop... The only way Harden is traded is for another star+high quality role player that fills a defensive need or package him for a genuine superstar that wants a change of scenery...
Yes, that is laughable. Who said anything about Durant or Lebron. OKC or Miami are not trading those guys. Those are the top two players in the league. There are other lesser stars that might be made available though.
the Kings have been playing well with Gay. give them props. trade harden? geez, when your carpet needs cleaned do you sell your house? if your don't like the song on your car stereo do you sell your car? OMG, he went out for new years? after a loss? couldn't he have waited for next year? Lol.
I agree, the transformation of Rudy Gay from notorious isohogging ball jacker to effective team player with Sacramento convinces me the worst iso-baller can have his worst tendencies reigned in by a good coach running a good system. So, why couldn't a good coach maximize Harden's incredible skill sets while having him play within a team framework? Guess we'll find out if McHale truly is a good coach or not, because this team cannot see anymore of what happened yesterday in the last two minutes of the ball game.
It is interesting, isn't it? I wonder how long it is going to last because he made some key contributions when he arrived to Toronto. Then, he became so toxic that just by getting rid of him Raptors managed to go 9 of 12 while beating Pacers at home today. But don't get me wrong, I am still leaning towards keeping Harden and getting rid of McHale.
This makes better sense, as coaches are a dime a dozen and players of Harden's talent level don't grow on trees. But it's not going to happen either. Be prepared for another year of "exciting" games with mediocre results.
It was one reporter's idea of what could be a "surprise" development in 2014-- just a random fantasy by one guy.
Let's trade everyone but Howard. I some times wish we could or would trade harden. Every time we lose is either coz of his lack of defense the entire game that we dig a hole or coz of Harden poor judgement. Like that 3 against the kings we were up by one w the ball in our possession and he just chunk a 3 right away. I knew when he missed that we had lost the game. He should have just drive in like the next play were he was call for a charge. But oh well. Some nights I hate Harden some nights I don't. And it's just all on him and his way of playing. I really don't want him shipped. He is young and immature. Hope he realizes that he has a good opportunity w Howard here and playing the way he has been before it's too late and Howard gets frustrated or gets old. Harden just needs to Mature Play defense Play w effort every night (MVP players get no nights off like Lebrun or KD) Stop partying so much ( like before game nights that's prolly why he is tired most of the games w no legs. His fg% is low to his avg.) He should take care of his body.
I though it surely would have been content coming from espnLA and siphoned off into the rest of their platform. i went online to find it, part of the 5-on-5 series, where 5 reporters are asked 5 random questions. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/page/5-on-5-140101/nba-predictions-2014 Ethan Sherwood Strauss, TrueHoop
Nothing is impossible. Kobe would have traded to Chicago in 2007 if Sac agreed to send Artest to Lakes
When things aren't working out that doesn't always mean you need a change of personnel. It's not good business to just give up on your star players or coach. They need to get better, but I disagree with shipping either out. Let's see them try to make it work. 90 percent of posters on this board will want to divorce their wives after the first couple of fights instead of trying to make it work, lol.
From what I've seen so far, this team won't ever get to championship level with Harden as it's number one option. He's not "team player" enough. Anyway you don't trade superstars. Even if it did benefit the team Morey doesn't have the b**** to trade him.
Morey's long term plans finally netted him 2 superstars and just because the team has been struggling for a few games out of a long arse season, he trades one of them for depth and picks. Right!
